Random centerpeice/decoration idea

Lizzieloumoose, 9 April, 2010 at 18:49 Posted on Planning 0 9

Not fitting in with my theme, but reminded me of a 'country' or kitchy-type vibe. And v cheap. Wilkinsons. The shop where you go in for one thing, and come out with 5 and some stationary.

I did see those, and some other bits which were groovy. Some of their stuff is a bit naff, but some is quite nice at a seriously good price. I was going for inspiration on the decs front, but wasn't as good as I hoped. I don't want to pay for expensive flower centerpeices, but neither do I want to go with the trend of bowl with floating something in it/mirrors/bird cages. I can't explain why, they just don't appeal to me. So far I have pillar candles tied with ribbon, which doesn't get me very far, and feels quite wintery (purple ribbon)

    Tricky

I was watching bridezillas the other day and one bride on there had cakes as her centrepieces (sorting the pudding out as well!) although it being bridezillas she almost killed her family whilst they were all chipping in and making them (even made her sister who had given birth about 2 days before help)

ive also seen ostrich feathers as a table centrepiece as well

Keep seeing lovely items that I'm not going to use because they're "not in the theme..." Maybe I should take notice of myself and change the theme? Hmmmnn.

Tealight holder. Also in cream. £5 each. https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/home_and_garden/decorative_accessories/candles_and_holders/113125791_tu_tealight_lamp_chocolate.html?hnav=4294960599
