Take That last night

SarahR, 17 June, 2009 at 12:22 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 10

It was amazing, still can't believe what a fantastic show it was.

I've seen them many times & it's always a great show, but this tour exceeds them all (IMHO).

1 little niggle though - is there any point getting them all to sing lead on different tracks when Gary's voice is the only 1 able to cope with singing in such a stadium. Feel bad saying that as Mark is & always has been my favourite, but his voice just doesn't cut it.

Amazing night though!

I was there, it was awesome, such a fab show! I'm still in a bit of a daze at the brilliance of it!!! Getting out of Cardiff was however a right royal pain in the arse!!

Yes, traffic was terrible, not sure why we drove as previously we've used the train back to Bristol, then driven home to Somerset & getting home at 2.30am was a bit of a joke. My friend is going tonight & she was stuck in traffic at 2pm in Bristol.

2 Lane closures on M4 & no sign of a workmen did make me wonder if they could have opened a lane to help ease the traffic (I appreciate that's a simplistic view on a complicated project I'm sure).

We travelled pretty much the same way (about an hour south of Brizzzzol) and would definatly have preferred to either see workmen working or to be able to use all lanes!! Frustrating eh! We got out of the stadium and then out of the car park really quickly so were at home by 2.15 ish! The show was well worth any amount of sitting on the M4 tho!

Ah so Ive got you two elfie and Sarah (and thousands of others) to blame for it taking me 2 1/2 hours to get home from work in Cardiff city centre yesterday!

I was not a happy bunny and would have willingly have strangled Take That for causing traffic chaos.

I assumed it's like that for any even held at the stadium, I heard Oasis traffic last Friday was also bad. I did feel sorry for the frustrated looking commuters trying to get home or on a bus, the traffic was a complete gridlock - sorry!

Oooh I can't wait! We're going to Manchester next week and I was wondering if the venue opens at 4pm, what time should you aim to get there for? The tickets haven't arrived yet though, wish they would hurry up!

The Oasis traffic was bad, but nothing like this this week.

usually when there are big footie or rugby matches on its much more organised, more trains are put on and used, more busses / coaches are used and less people come by car. There no traffic chaos for that. I left at 3 yesterday and bloomin eck, the traffic was bad and I had to get someone to the airport in 45 mins, I just made it. My boss has 3 buses cancelled and took nearly 3 hours to go 20 miles home to Newport. He had a face like thunder when I got in this morning!!?
