This is an absolutely gorgeous dress! I'd not seen any Sincerity dresses before and have just been looking on the website. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of underwear are you mean to wear with the back being so low? I'm so clueless with these things!
I've not actually bought the dress yet but i'm going on Saturday to. I think i'm going to ask the seamstress if she can put in some support, other wise i'll just have to ask her to make it really tight to hold them up!!
Here's my dress, it's a Romantica sample so unfortunately no piccy of a model wearing it, just me with the shop lady holding in at the back for me as it's currently too big!! I keep doubting myself but then I look at the photos and it really is 'me', as clichéd as that sounds! I keep worrying I won't look 'bridey' enough but will wear a little tiara and veil with it.
Mrs LtoBe I really love your dress! I'm after a tea length vintage style too. I was on a budget but not sure how that's going to work as haven't seen anything like this within budget haha! Going to start dress shopping on Wednesday eeek! xx
Tash&Ste - I wanted tea length but was so disappointed to find that less material does not mean cheaper dresses! For me, all it meant were lack of styles to try on in bridal shops! My budget was £700 so House of Mooshki was out for me, as was Candy Anthony and Fur Coat No Knickers. I ended up getting a So Sassi dress half price in a bridal sample sale, and am going to get it cut to tea length. I think I have already flashed it here, or at least a really bad microsoft paint job of how it will look when shortened!
So when you try on dresses, consider that most brides need their dress shortening anyway, so it's not such a problem to just get a bit more taken off. In fact, a good bridal shop will offer to pin it up for you so you can see how it looks at a shorter length. Good luck dress shopping!
Tell me about it, RogueSnowflake, I saw a gorgeous one in a local shop but it was £1000 :-( I promised myself I would not spend more than £200, that changed to £400, now it's £600! I am hoping to find something in a sample sale...
That it an excellent tip re. getting a 'normal' length dress shortened. I never even thought about that! I'll definitely remember that when I start dress shopping! xxx
Thank you, I love too! Yes is House of Mooshki and originally was out of budget but mummy was incredibly lovely and saw that I loved it so said I could have it
I have found though that most bridal shops are waking up to the fact that lots of brides want Tea Length dresses and are supplying them now - so don't dismiss a "normal" bridal shop before you check! xx
Ahh I have a tea length wedding dress, I love them!
Not sure where you are in the country, but I got my dress from Cutting Edge Brides in Bexley. They specialise in tea length dresses and they have a wide range of prices (House of Mooshki being the top price giong down to dresses for £400/£500). It's a great shop and the women ther are lovely!
I thought I would add mine. Here's a hilarious pic of me trying it on in the store changing room. I think the black tights and biker boots really set it off
Treacle - you know I am your dress's biggest fan. It's the only dress that has given me a pang of jealousy... but looking at it properly now, it wouldn't have suited me like mine did.
