Has anyone else had problems with a bridal shop? My experience with a local chain was a complete disaster. They caused me so much stress and pretty much ruined my wedding. Not only did they mess me about with my dress alterations just weeks before my wedding, they also messed up the best mans suit and never altererd my maid of honours dress at all. To top it all off, the zip on my dress broke when i put it on for the wedding leaving me devestated and having to be sewn in it. I contact the shop upon my return, as I got married away, and they "these things happen, it's not our fault". I've put my complaint in writting and requested my money back within 14 days (which is up on 31st July). Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience? x

I haven't had any experience with them, but so sorry for you! I would go mad if anything like this happened to me. Did you get your money bac?

Did you pay by credit card? You may be able to enter a dispute and reclaim some money.

Maybe (and this is a bit dirty) you could threaten to sell your story to one of those naff tea-time magazines, and insisit it, in part, ruined your day.

They won't want negative PR. Make sure you have a robust list of the issues and dates etc though.

Just seen the bit about 31st July. Oops. Did you get any money back?
