Brooches

NatGlenn89, 24 January, 2013 at 13:56 Posted on Wanted 0 3

I am going to (try to!) make myself a brooch bouquet... Does anyone have any silver/ diamante/ pearl brooches they don't want/ need?

As I'm going to need quite a few I need to get the brooches as cheaply as possible to make it financially worthwhile diy-ing it!

Please let me know! Smiley smile

Have you got pictures of the brooches you have and what sort of price would you want for them? Smiley smile

Hi there again- took me a few days to find pics sorry. I would let you have the whole bouquet ( about 80 ish brooches) and the bouquet as is for £100. I think its fair. I have added some cream roses to the bouquet as well (large) and the whole bouquet is about 10 inches across. I ended up using a different colour theme so I was left with all these sparkling gems Smiley smile

    Here's mine:

    Hi

I made my own brooch bouquet. It isn't cheap but knowing you made something that you can keep forever or loan to someone close, is priceless. I was given lots of brooches by family and friends, I got some from charity shops, eBay, Amazon, Debenhams (when the Blue X sale was one!) and even Primark but I used earrings, cufflinks and rings to bulk it out. You just have to use what you can. I got the white artificial hydranger flowers from either Dunelm Mill or Wilkinsons. I attach some pics (not close up) but you get the idea...hopefully!
