Changing Name after wedding Abroad

lulugod, 23 June, 2009 at 20:36 Posted on Just Married 0 2

Hi All

I got married a couple of weeks ago in Italy. We have a really nice marriage certificates along with 3 copies that have been stamped by the local authorities. The problem is that they are all in Italian. When it comes to changing my name with banks etc. does anyone know if they'll accept this or do I have to get them translated?

Many Thanks

Lou

    HI,

think you need to get them translated...

we loked into getting married in turkey a while back and it clearly stated we had to pay for them to be translated before we went home.

    Hope this helps x

You will need to get them translated. Did you use a planner or company? They should be able to point you in the right direction of someone here who can translate them and then I think you need them certified.
