Jam Jars for sale

Piestar, 7 June, 2013 at 10:17 Posted on For Sale 0 4

I bought a load of jam jars from charity shops for our table centres, but I've now changed my mind and am having something else instead. There are 17 in total, a mixture of sizes and styles - although there are some that are the same and they cost me 25p a jar.

Just looking to get my money back so I can use it on something else, which makes it £4.25, but we'll call it £4.

Collection from Clowne, Derbyshire (5 mins from J30 of M1) or Worksop Nottinghamshire (work).

It's possible I could post them if you were desperate, but I don't know how they'd fair in the post!

    Hi there,

I would love these, but I am nowhere near you, so would need them posted. Would you mind finding out how much it would be to post, and if they don't cope in the post it doesn't matter at all! Would like to give it a go though as I am going jar crazy!

    Thank you

I'll package them up and with them and let you know Smiley smile I could send them by DHL as they are less likely to get broken by courier, but I'm not sure how much that would be - dearer than the post office I think.

Haven't had chance to do it yet as this weekend is very busy! I don't normally get them off! Just remembered I get staff discount off DHL so might work or cheaper. Will let you know asap. Smiley smile

Right, packed and weighed them, and these are the prices:

Royal Mail 2nd class £13.35, delivery aim up to 3 working days.

DHL (turns out I don't get discount after all!) £16.95, aim 1-2 working days.

I will pack them up to stop them chinking together, but as I said, I don't know how they'll fair being thrown about.
