Navy, pale pink and white hanging lanterns?

Snailsandsushi, 18 October, 2013 at 13:29 Posted on Wanted 0 7

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for paper hanging lanterns in navy blue, pale pink and white if anyone has some leftover from their wedding?

I live in SE London if collection is easier ?

Thank you!

    Hi Izzy,

I think we must be planning very similar style weddings! I've recently decided on navy, pale pink & white as our colours and also stumbled accross the idea of paper lanterns... and am now completely obsessed with the idea. It looks like it might work out quite expensive though ?

How did you get on looking for them - did you pick any up second-hand or have you found any online for a reasonable price when buying several?

Depending on when your wedding is, you might have lots of bits & pieces I'd be interested in (I'm getting married on 3rd September)!

Would love to hear what else you're planning if you're happy to share ideas or pictures Smiley smile

    Hi Becca,

Go colour schemes! I managed to pick up a few second hand, and am buying additional ones (navy is really hard to find!!) and should be spending about £60 on lanterns altogether.

Decoration wise, I'm also looking to get hold of some navy table runners, and then some fish bowls and mirrors which we're going to fill with paper cranes for centrepieces. I've got a few wedding trees to go on window sills (also to be covered with cranes), and cherry blossoms galore!

Our wedding is the 23rd March in Kent so we may well have bits and pieces we can pass over!

Let me know if you want to see pictures~

    Hi Izzy,

Navy table runners are on my list of things to find (and either navy or white napkins), as are some pink flowers to go in vases on the table, so if you have pictures of what you're using (and plan to sell afterwards) please post them up as I'll probably be interested.... if I can rein myself in from wanting to get everything sorted immediately!

How many lanterns are you getting for your £60 budget? I've been in touch with one company who offered me quite a good discount on the website prices, but it still comes to almost £30 for 15 lanterns ranging 8" to 14" - thankfully I don't need loads, but I'm suprised how expensive they are!

Oooh yes, these look exactly the same as the ones I was looking at buying. I'm not getting married until September (in Cornwall!) so would definitely be interested. How many do you have and what sizes? Are you using LEDs inside them?

    I have the following sizes:

    12" 1 x navy

    14" 3 x pink

    16'' 1 x navy

    18" 2 x pink

    20" 3 x navy 1 x pink

i would take £25 for them all. Where in Cornwall are you/which venue? X
