thank you cards

We made our own - printed out on A5 ivory card, with information on the left hand side about our official photographers album, the URL and password, and where to find out website, and "Thank you" on the right hand side. We then folded these, and having got our official photos on disc we picked the one we liked the most, took that to a local supermarket with a photo printing section and ran off 80 copies of it, then trimmed them slightly and stuck on the front with double sided tape.

We could then write on the inside what we were thanking people for - gift, money, their part in the day, whatever - and posted them. It probably took longer to drive to the supermarket (as we were on honeymoon in a remote part of Wales when we did the cards) than it did to actually finish them off.

The printed photos I think were about 20p each - the most expensive part of the whole thing except the stamp. So apart from postage we spent about £25 on 80 cards.

This was the shot we picked - having trimmed and resized to the right size "portrait style" in Photoshop (this is the unedited one).

I have just sorted mine out. Bought some aperture cards with envelopes from ebay. got 90 cards inc envs for £20. Then we have 70 free prints on photobox so we are getting a selection of our official wedding pics printed for the front! :-) AJ gave me the idea with his cards. Thanks aj :-)

From Ebay you can get good option for your thank you card option.

DIY is a great option for saving pennies and also makes them that bit special.....hand made by you!

Discontinuing Dresses Do anyone know when dresses are discontinued from alfred angelo??
