Crossed from Wedding Planning

for the ladies who are already married,

i'm just wondering what would need doing the day before. i dont have to do any preparation of the room or anything as the hotel does that. i'm having my waxing done 3 days before, my nails 2 days before. originally i just had the afternoon booked off but then booked the morning off as well in case i had to travel to get my MIL2B....now i dont coz best mans bring her...i'm worried i'm just gonna be whittling about things i cant control & might be better of at work....

any advice would be great

    Hello Lurvly,

    On the two days before our wedding, I :

    * Picked up my dress, bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dresses

    * Dropped cake at hotel

    * Dropped table plan, place cards, favours, table names, games for kids. seating plans at hotel

    * Held rehersale get together at hotel for bridesmaids and ushers

    * Got my nails done

    * Made sure that shoes, tiaras, hair combs, make up, toiletries, underwear, overnight bag were all packed and at my mums house (where I was getting ready

    * Went to see Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part II!

    But then I did a LOT of stuff myself and the hotel just laid it all out for me.

    If you've made sure that everything is in its place before the day before your wedding, then I would suggest having a nice, relaxing day doing something you enjoy. Just make sure to keep busy! If everything is done then nothing else needs doing and trust me, worrying about things that might or might not happen and that are out of your control anyway will do you no good at all!

    Everyone will tell you to relax but that really is easier said than done!

    Thank you pretty sparkl good advice there.

    i've persuaded OH to have the day off oH (he was going to be working).think we;re gonna go out for lunch & just relax the two of us before mayhem starts.

    we only have to drop the seating plan & tablecards & favours down at the hotel.

    already got the dresses.

    thats what i was worried about that i'll sit there getting in falp about something i cant do anything about..

    so advise im taking away....DO STUFF, MAKE PLANS & KEEP BUSY!

    Smiley smile

    Go see a theater play...always keeps my mind busy, plus it's a nice activity to be doing right before the wedding.

    If your OH can get the day off to spend with you, that will be lovely and being in each others company will keep you occupied. Unfortunately my OH wasn't able to get the day before our wedding off - in fact he had to leave for work and 6am and wasn't back till 6pm, by which time I had decamped to my parents house and was going out to have pizza and watch my film! So it was a full day and a half that I went without my fiance for - no wonder I had a million butterflies in my stomach on the morning of the wedding!

    Thanks Pretty Sparkly.

    I am rea.lly hoping he will be able to have the day off (like he say) but it just depends on work on that week. Obv dont want him having to go back to grout a chuffing bathroom on the day of the wedding hahahaha
