Disposable Cameras

Tasha, 10 August, 2021 at 14:09 Posted on Wanted 0 9

Hey All,

Me and my partner both like the idea of having disposable cameras on the tables at my wedding, as we do not like it when you have a photographer sticking a camera in your face when you are trying to eat or dance. However, wherever i have looked they are all largely expensive, i was wondering if anyone else had the same idea but managed to find them somewhere cheaper?

Thanks in advance Smiley smile

They are really expensive now so I didn’t bother , you used to be able to get them really cheaply

We also looked into this and everywhere seemed to be so expensive! Getting the photos developed is costly too. Unfortunately I think they just seem to be a more expensive option now 😔 so we decided to go with a photo booth instead.

Boots still make and develop them. There’s something about sitting and going through old photos; they are from the perspective of the wedding guests and are a literal snapshot of what they enjoyed. A professional photographer can take the big/official ones.

I think disposable cameras are a dying thing now. Which is a shame as I was wanting them too. We’re having a photo booth instead too and I’m considering setting up a photo album on Facebook for people to add their photos too so we can hopefully have some informal pics.

I have been looking into the disposable cameras and printing etc, but I really wanted photographs in digital form so I could print as many as I want and at whatever size I want. I also wanted higher quality images. Most of the wedding guests have good android phones and will be taking images on them all day. Why don't you download the wedshoots app? Your given a code to pass on to your guests. And they can use that code to upload all of their photos to the app for you. That way, you will essentially have 100+ photographers at your wedding. Or you could ask them to uploads them to WhatsApp or something similar x

Wow, the prices have increased since I last looked last year. We were considering it for our destination wedding but I think its gonna be too much faff but might actually be cheaper through a wedding planner.

If you don't like the traditional photographer you could always go with a documentary style photographer who will capture very natural photos with no posing and some are very discrete. If that's still not your cup of tea a photo booth may be an option or as someone above said the wedshoots app is easy enough to navigate.

I was thinking the same too - would love some photos from guests. Disposable camera were insanely expensive so we've decided to use compact cameras. We had some lying around the house we don't use as we now usually have our phones and asked family members and surprised to find they had some they didn't want either. I've looked on Facebook and eBay and there were some cheap used ones which would be perfect. Plus everything is digital - so you can easily transfer to a computer.
