Dyeing your wedding dress

Louise, 20 December, 2022 at 16:45 Posted on Just Married 0 1
Hi everyone,

I got married in November - I’ve had my dress shortened and would like to dye it with the intention of being able to wear it for another occasion but be future.
Has anyone ever used a service to dye their dress or done it themselves? I’ve googled it and I can’t seem to find anywhere but a little bit scared to attempt it myself!
Any tips would be fantastic

What fabric is it? You have a fairly good chance with a high percentage of natural fibres. Mine was mostly viscose and dyed really well. It was hemmed with polyester thread, but I had it shortened after dying, so the thread matched the new colour.
