bluewater, 20 of October of 2010 at 14:00 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 43

THE RULES: put your generic MP3 player on shuffle - write down here the first 10 songs that come up. NO cheating and skipping past crap ones!!!

AND: what's your guilty pleasure? the one song you utterly adore that most other people will laugh at you for? incidentally, this is the topic for x factor this week...

GO!

I know. most others' guilty pleasures are actually songs that i think are genuinely good. like december and her britney songs - what's wrong with britney?

when i was 15 i thought i was a cutting edge music snob, and thought blur and oasis were really cool underground bands...

now i'm happy to admit to being a pop bunny!

I've just gone from Nina Simone to Ndubz. I dread to think what it says about me.

Sorry Blue but couldn't help also shaking my head in disapproval to B-squad.

    And NDubz, Cricket - really?!!

Perving over McFly is perfectly acceptable. I still feel a bit wrong though as they are vay young.

Ndubz was an iTunes shuffle, honest.

Mr CB is notorious for his lack of musical knowledge. His two favourite songs EVER are 'Let's get ready to rumble' - PJ & Duncan and 'You can't touch this' - MC Hammer. He's a special boy.

RIght, I am home, got my ipod out and about to join in. I am slightly nervous at what might come out. I have a lot of albums on there, which I only listen to one or 2 songs from, so will prob come out with the ones I skip through!

    Here goes..........

    1) Fountains of Wayne - New Routine

    2) Weezer - Pork and Beans

    3) Black Stone Cherry - Devil's Queen

    4) Barenaked Ladies - The Wrong Man was Convicted

    5) Coldplay - Strawberry Swing

    6) Arctic Monkeys - Do Me A Favour

    7) Stereophonics - A Minute Longer

    8) MGMT - Electric Feel

    9) Weezer - Heart Songs

    10) Snow Parol - Gleaming Auction

    I'm quite happy with that!

    Ok, here's mine:

    1) Miss Sarajevo - Passengers

    2) If You Don't Want Me To Destroy You - Super Furry Animals

    3) A Good Year For The Roses - George Jones

    4) Dakota - Stereophonics

    5) Living Loving Miad - Led Zeppelin

    6) Damaged Goods - Gang Of Four

    7) Candy Everybody Wants - 10,000 Maniacs

    8) Small Ball - Saw Doctors

    9) Promises - Eric Clapton

    10) The Everlasting - Manic Street Preachers

Could have been worse I guess - think I've got about 3,000 songs on my ipod, mostly indie, rock, metal punk and blues, though there is at least one song from pretty much every genre - including some real shockers.

Erm, not sure if it's a guilty pleasure (there's probably a lot more stuff on there that would better fit that description) - but I do have Chas n Dave's "The Sideboard Song" on my iPod! ?

Nothing wrong per se, simply that Mr CB wouldn't notice if there were no other songs ever in the history of music.
