11am wedding - an hour to fill - ideas please!

Hi,

We are getting married at 11am with a registrar in a hotel. The ceremony will last until 11:30am and then we are having a drinks reception with canapes for an hour and an half. I want the wedding breakfast to start at 2pm so we don't have a two 1/2 hour lull in the middle of the day so I have an hour to fill between 1pm and 2pm. Any ideas as to what we should do? The reception room looks opens out onto a terrace and if it is nice weather (wedding date is August 24th) then we could do something outside? There will be 50 people at the reception.

Any help much appreciated!

    Hi Michelle!! Finally someone else getting married at 11am!!!! We're in the same boat as you with regard to spare time, we're actually looking at having some lawn games, like giant chess or croquet that sort of thing. Good Luck!!!

    Any time you have will go by in a flash. Relax on the terrace enjoying the warm summer air, mingling chatting, it will soon go by. And this time is usually also taken up with photos too.
