12 MONTH WEDDING COUNTDOWN!!!!

I have recently got engaged and not sure where to begin, I'm getting married in 14 months and decided against a planner.

When did everyone decide on a theme by? Do i need to book a florist now? and when should i buy my dress?

Could anyone give me a brief 12 month countdown of what they did and any problems they had along the way please, would be a really big help!

I/m Getting Married in May next year so about the same distance I registered with http://www.weddingplanner.co.uk/ they send you updates on when you should do things! I have booked the venue, the registra, chosen my colour scheme, Bought a dress from ebay - 2 sizes too small lol! and have just ordered my flowers (I am having artifical) https://www.facebook.com/TheTiaraBoutique

Hi Laura Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage. I see that you do not want to use a wedding planner, and that is of course your choice. However, may I suggest you can use them for partial services ie on the day wedding co-ordination, making sure everything is in place and as it should be. Drawing up a list of everything you require for your big day should include Favourite colours, venue, caters, wedding dress etc, prioritising say from a list of 1-5 (1 being the most important).
