2 weddings

Arian, 27 December, 2020 at 18:10 Posted on Planning 0 1
Me and my partner are living in the UK but his family are in Italy. My family are in the uk can’t really travel abroad and it would be too much to get his extremely large family here. We’re going to have ta small ceremony in the Uk and a church ceremony in Italy. How do we make both days individually special whilst not overshadowing another? The idea of planning two weddings is so scary! Any advice?

I've known several people who've had two weddings, due to the couple being from two different countries. I don't think you really have to 'try' to make the days special - they just will be! You will be having different people at each event, but they will both be joyful occasions where you are surrounded by loved ones who want to celebrate with you.

Presumably, you will be having readings, music etc that are meaningful to you at both ceremonies? Think of different ways to link your two cultures at both events.
