Is anyone considering a website? If so, what time will you set yours up? Will it be when you send the save the dates or invites? Or another time?

Charliefarlie - I am considering a website. If I were to do one it would probably be up when the invites go out, so a few months before the wessing :-)

Hi, could you please add me for 18th June 2016? :-) registrar booked, venue booked, photographer booked and have bought all the materials needed to make my own tableplan, centrepieces and table numbers! Yay for organised brides :-) Just need to organise transport, DJ and my dress. I'm making my own bouquet, as well as my flowergirl's and bridemaid's bouquets... (Can you believe how much florists charge?! I got a major shock, lol! It will be cheaper for me to make my own!) Can't wait to crack on with it all.

As for a wedding website, I will be setting one up sometime late 2015, ready for when my OH and I send out invites early 2016 - hope this helps?

As for me, since paying our venue deposit we think we've now chosen the hotel for the night of the wedding. They will do a wedding rate for guests and we can have a private room for £100 for breakfast the next day, which I think we will go for. It's a hotel we originally viewed as an actual reception venue, before we decided against a hotel wedding. It was a lovely place though so I'm glad we're still going there We're going at the end of the month for OH's dad's birthday for a meal and hopefully to see the suite again that we'd stay in!

In 3 months time I can send out our save the dates! :] Must get our full day guest list finished soon.

Ahh how exciting! I've had a guest list written out for a while but we do add/remove people every now and then. It will be weird when we can't just change it whenever we feel like it!

Went to my OH's cousins wedding Saturday :] actually made me want to get married as soon as possible, I really enjoyed it. Had to stop myself from getting emotional so I dread to think what I'll actually be like on my own day :/ I won't even be able to say my vows for being too choked up. There's a few ideas I've picked up such as a roulette table as that went down a storm - extremely popular and not to mention FUN! :] We could do with some form of entertainment for the guests whilst we will be busy having photos during the arrival at the reception venue as we were stood around about 2 hours waiting to be seated. We're deffo having a box full of props to have a play with, which would more than likely get used during the night time when everyone's had a few, we certainly tried some then! :] It turned out that they had hired digital cameras for each table from the same company that I've hired which I'm pleased as the quality of the cameras and the attention to detail that company provided with instructions etc on now to work the cameras was second to none.

So all in all it was a fab day/evening (shame about the weather later on in the afternoon) and I can't wait to become Mrs Ligertwood - I'll the be the 3rd in 3 years! :]

I have just booked our appointment to give notice of marriage with the registrar (wasn't aware I could book the appointment that far in advance). Am really excited (which is daft, I know) but just wanted to share my excitement with you lovely lot!

There's still a long way to go yet so I must try and get a grip but sometimes I get so excited I could burst!!!

Planning is slow, but its doing ok.

We obviously have the date, and a venue....in Florida.

I am speaking to a wedding planner in Fliorida who has put a package together for us and promises to get our date as soon as the venue is taking bookings (Feb 2015)

The package includes the venue, flowers, photographer, harpist, officiant, cake and champagne.

We need to look at cars....I want limo to take me, my bridesmaids and parents to the venue, and a vintage car to take me and Adam away.

I have Bridesmaids sorted (after my 2 cousins backed out I had to go with my back up plan of very good friends) also have a pageboy and flower girl - who already has a dress! she will be 3 so hoping the size 3-4 I have picked up at a bargain price in the sales will fit her.

Adam has asked his dad to be best man, groomsmen not confirmed yet as not sure they can come. Its a lot to ask for them to come to Florida.

We are very lucky though as so far have around 30 guests confirmed. While in Florida we will just be having an evening meal on the wedding night in place of a big reception.

We are hoping to have a reception back at home afterwards, however finding a venue we like is proving difficult at the moment as the budget is tight.

All fun and games though. Not too stressful yet!! lol.

Hoping to be a 2016 bride with you, fingers crossed November 2016. We were planning for 2015, however we have decided we would like to buy a house rather than rent so decided to postpone the wedding for another year.

Not booked anything as of yet but we have some wedding open days in the pipeline and I'm very exciting to finally get the ball rolling!

Hi guys, gonna try to be more active in here and hoping to get a date set by mid October this year (for May/June 2016) as I just want to know when it's going to happen! Mostly worried about the money, but really don't want to wait until 2017... will just be telling H2B that we really need to pull our socks up and save save save as my parents can't really help much money-wise and his parents are already doing quite a bit help-wise (MIL making the cake/s and FIL's best friend's wife is making the dresses!)

I see lots of Ebay and DIY in my future, but that's going to be the most exciting part. I have a couple of visits at the end of this month and it cannot come soon enough!

As for me, I'm going to ramble a little today so feel free to ignore!

Yesterday made me feel so much better about my bridesmaid choices. Only the day before I had been saying that while I don't regret choosing 2 of my bridesmaids, I know I won't really have the whole planning experience with them, it will be mostly 'here's a dress, walk down the aisle' sort of thing. I have 4 bridesmaids total and 2 of them are my OH's godmother's daughters (they will be 17 and 19 at the wedding) - it was my idea to have them but mostly for him rather than myself. They live a while away and we only see them a couple of times a year so I didn't have any expectations. Yesterday they were visiting and my OH's parents wanted to show them our church. When we got there both girls were so excited and it really made me smile We did a bit of a practice walk, it was just lovely to see them so excited and interested.

I also played the entrance music which made OH's godmother cry and I started to tear up, which I never would have expected - whatever will I be like on the day!

Anyway that's all from me really. Just wanted to say that although I know they won't be around as much, I'm glad I have their excitement to make me smile

We are hoping to sort our photographer in the next couple of weeks so that would then be the big things all sorted! Another month down tomorrow ?

Planning is starting to pick up again it slowed a little as things were happening in my life like moving house and fiance saying he had a job abroad for 11 months may be so will be back just before the wedding so was a bit of a blow. Now started to going to wedding shows again has got me right in the mood. Have bought most stationery items and secured church and venue and ticker now says 1 year and 11 months eek past the 2 year mark now. Welcome Mrs.R.to-be and Charmoo. How are your plans going? Xx

If anyone needs help finding the perfect venue or your vendors & suppliers I'd recommend lowestquote.ie. I got the recommendation myself from someone on here a few weeks ago and decided to try them out. They have been fantastic so far!! I was all over the place trying to find my venue. I knew what I wanted and what my budget was but I just couldn't find anything. They found me some great options and then they did all the haggling with the hotel and got me a great price.

They are now trying to find me my florist, band, car, favours and singer. They are going to haggle the price with all them too.

They are saving me from a lot of frustration and in the process saving me money. I only paid £150 for all the above and I'd say they have already saved me twice that. I mainly used them as I didn't have the time or patience to do all the planning myself so to save money too is a bonus.

We've been wondering whether to cancel our current wedding plans and go abroad and get married instead. Our families are going to clash! And we can both see arguments happening. My mum is just becoming completely unreasonable now, I've invited her to a wedding fair in oct and she's said no - too busy. I'm off to one on sunday with my MIL instead, to sort out a few more things. The person that seems to be responsible for all this is my brother who I'm sure you've all heard me mention before. Mum constantly mothers him too much and takes his side, treats me like I'm the bad one for cleaning up etc, and thinks he's a saint for being a druggie!! Basically he keeps moaning that my OH is horrible to him and won't speak to him and it's getting mums back up to the point she's now slagging my OH off!

I still think although mums seen my dress and likes it now, she's still feeling bitter because I didn't go with her to try some on. I would of if she wasn't being so difficult about wedding stuff. She went a step too far yesterday and said she'd never refer to my OH as her son in law and said I could do better. She made my ex leave because he wasn't good enough for me and constantly bitched behind his back. She's doing the same with my OH, and after all the stuff he does for her you'd think she would be nice.

I told chris what she said, he had a right to know. Chris's family all know what selfish gits my family are (apart from my dad) and can't stand how they treat me. So know doubt something's going to blow up in 16 months time and all hell will break lose at our wedding.

Sending hugs hun. Families sure are a funny thing! I don't know what to suggest/say. Have you and your OH sat down and talked about eloping? As long as you both come to a decision and do what is right for the both of you, and it makes you happy. So whether it being going the registry office one afternoon and getting married with a couple of witnesses or a group of you going abroad, there are ways and means to do things the way you want. I will say, don't feel the need to invite people just because they are family (I know it is easy to say is it is your mum we are talking about) you should have people there who are happy to celebrate with you, not just someone to fill the seat as they are related.

We had a short discussion the other day about it, and I suggested registry office which he turned down straight away. It was him that actually suggested going abroad the only problem with that is his sister (my bridesmaid) and nephew (page boy) couldn't go and my dad wouldn't go, and I'd lose my cousin (maid of honour) as she wouldn't want to leave her little boy which is understandable. Might just have a small wedding in uk and not invite my mum, brother and his gf!! and risk my dad not turning up.
