****2016 Brides**** 326 brides (and 3 grooms!) so far!

Hello we are booked for 26 August 2016. Wow I can't believe how organised some of you ladies are! We literally have the church & reception venue booked that's it!

I'm chomping at the bit to do more but at the couple of wedding fairs I've been to I got the impression it's too far away to be booking too much? After seeing this post maybe I can get on with more! I do deff want to get the TOG & VOG sorted soon!

Can't wait til I can't say it's next year, conscious of talking about it too much already! I don't want people to get bored with me hehe Xxx

Never too early! I'm December 2016 and already got loads booked.

The suppliers that said it was too early, aren't getting my money. Lots of suppliers are willing to take bookings so early in advance and show as much interests as they would if the wedding was in a couple of months. We wanted to get things booked so that we could pay them off over the next year or so.

Just booked my centre pieces and table plan! Got back into the swing of things after having a couple of months of can't be bothered, its too far away xx

I agree. I have bookings for 2016 already and would much rather have a full diary nice and early. I even give this years price as an incentive for people to book early. Just don't understand suppliers that don't.

Hellooooo! What have I missed as I've not been on for ages :]

I've been packing as I am .. Moooving! Yay! My Oh and I have just purchased our first house :] so I'm busy with that, and then my craft business and then matters with work, so my wedding planning is on a back burner at the minute although I did manage to squeeze in a wedding fair a couple of weekends ago and from there I found my 2 car package for £600!! Bargain! And I have a hair and make-up lady in mind as well as casino roulette table hire! :] Checking my countdown in 98 days I can say I'm getting married next year - eek!! My save the dates have been complete since about June! The sooner Christmas comes the better as I can send them out then (cheap postage with Xmas cards).

So as you can imagine it's all go here!!

I am so excited right now. I've just organised our engagement dinner! It's just a get together for mine and OH's parents and my siblings (his only sister is in Australia, a bit of a trek for a dinner!) - I've been trying to get this sorted for ages and I've now got that booked for 15th Nov I've used Touchnote and sent out little postcard invites, even though I know all parents are free - *excited dance*

Also have a few visits set up for venues, we're struggling a bit with the balance between having the beautiful venue (barn or manor house-type) of our dreams and not having to save as hard as we would to get said venue... thankfully we both seem to have the dream of a big beautiful venue and are currently struggling to compromise this between us (if he really didn't care, we/I would probably find it easier to 'settle' as long as I got to buy lots of pretty things for it)

Watch this space, it's encouraging to see how far people are in the process - especially when some peoples' dates are further than my preferred date!

venue.tog and dj booked! also well chuffed won a competition on facebook to hire one of the postboxes for wedding cards at dirt cheap price so thats a small thing ticked off the list!x wedding fayre on the 19th at our venue to see it all set up and also get prices for wedding cars.

I also got my dress a few weeks ago, didnt know if I was buying to early but I loved it! I cant stop thinking about it and looking at the photo!

Ooh my Mum has a week off in June and thought it would be nice to dress shop then but I'm scared it was too early!

I have done the seating plan already as the invitations are being handmade and some people will need to travel so they'll be going out early. Plus the catering choice at our venue requires 8 adults on each table (we'll have to pay for the food even if we done have 8 on the table) so we had to work it out and add to the day guest list.

Not sure what else I can do at this point though...!!!

Kat_jen - that's definitely not too early to be looking for a dress some of us on here have our dresses already!

Can't believe there's so many of us already!! I'm back to excited mode again now, but trying to hold doing much else until after Christmas, when we are officially past the 2 year mark.

Couldn't help myself the other week, booked my centre pieces and table plan. We are having them sculpted out of ice. Something a bit different and thought it would fit in with our winter theme. Apart from that I'm trying to behave and wait a bit. Wish it would just hurry up!! xx

It'll go by so quick, it's amazing how quick the time has gone since i've been engaged and we started planning, it only feels a little while ago, but we are nearly at the year mark for the engagement already.

I've said it once and ill say it again, i'm glad we decided 2016, it gives us plenty of time to organise it all (ask me again this time next year though and I might say otherwise! ha!)

Ah thanks for thinking of me Yes all settled in now! The homesickness lasted almost a week, but then I went back to work and got into a normal routine and now it's great It's been almost 4 months, it's flown by. A third of a year, wow...

How are you getting on? We're almost another month down! ? I keep thinking that as soon as January passes I will panic that we 'only' have a year and a half haha

I can't believe how fast time is going!! We now have the cars booked and have decided on a photobooth, pianist & invitations which we'll put deposits down on in the coming weeks. I've also been dress shopping...I was really nervous about not suiting any before I started but now i'm hooked! I think i've found 'the one' but going to one more shop before going back to see it/order it with my mum & Nana. So unless theres one in this last shop that throws a spanner in the works i've found it! Got the big wedding fayre up here (Glasgow) in a few weeks, hoping to find a cake & florist. We've decided on favours too. I still keep saying its years away but we're now 18 monthsish to go so will be less than a year before we know it.

OHs best man txt him asking if they could meet up to discuss the stag, so they did last Friday. I had asked that they make sure they were organised (our best man is far from it) and I thought they'd taken me a bit too seriously. Turns out he thought the wedding was March 2015 not 2016 haha!!

I'm really excited to look for my dress but also so nervous! Its quite scary I think!
