Ahh glad you're all settled in, where have those 4 months gone?

I know, I'm starting to freak out a little at that thought, but I'll be ok.

Well, planning wise we've been to try on bridesmaid dresses with my MOH (who was a trooper on the day as she was majorly hung over! Ha)

I'm trying to sort out a MUA trial for me, my mum and mob, but that is going to cost just over £100 for the trial alone so a bit undecided on whether to go for it or not..?

I'm also struggling with whether to have a brooch bouquet or proper flowers. I just can't decide, I'm not a flower person, and I'm rubbish at picking them, so I'm talking to some florists, they suggested I come to them with a budget, but how can I budget for it when I don't know how much they are meant to cost! I've also been talking to lovely people about brooch bouquets too so I'm just a little stumped.

Sorry for the long essay, but that's what's been going on, just a bit stuck at the min.

We asked our photographer this week - she is a friend (friend of a friend really, but we get on well) who photographed two other friends' weddings and the photos are lovely. I'm much more comfortable having someone I know do the photos, but at the same time she's not really a good enough friend that she would be invited anyway, so it's not like we take away from her being a guest, if that makes sense? Anyway she was so so pleased to have been asked which made me happy

I have the same problem with flowers, no idea what anything should cost and I don't really know much about them at all! My aunt is a florist and I'm hoping to ask for her help which should make things a little easier - hopefully!

I think bridesmaid dresses will be one of my next tasks - 4 girls in 3 locations not really near each other so I'm sure that will be a fun task!

I've probably been a bit TOO organised - we currently have venue, cake, photographer booked and my dress is ordered! I have a appointment with a florist next week and then I'm calling it a day for 6 months or so!

I wouldn't say you're too organised, but then I'm probably biased because you've done pretty much exactly what I have so far!

I've pretty much done the same stuff too. Just can't help ourselves. Not that its a bad thing.

I've just ordered a memory brooch for my flowers of my mum. Its due to arrive next week but just seen a picture of it before its posted and its amazing. I'm so pleased with it. xx

Hi all! Just joined the boards recently, and can join in now I have a date confirmed! My partner and I are getting married 19th March 2016

A little excited today as we are going to our reception venue to sample our chosen menu. Also it will be the first time my OH will have properly seen inside the venue. I booked it when I visited with my parents and forgot he hadn't actually seen inside. Oops ... I'm lucky he's so laid back and happy for me to do most of the wedding planning lol !!!

The food sampling sounds the best bit!! I don't think we get to do that for ages . We're having afternoon tea so am planning how to make it exciting .

So since I last posted, I have booked my wedding party cars & going to meet someone about invites tomorrow ☺ how is everyone else getting on?

Looking to see if anyone could help me or point me in the right direction - trying to look into ideas for table names & need to cover max of 11 tables including top table. Currently looking into types of blue sweets bcos our colour scheme is blue & both me/OH have a sweet tooth. But trying to find names that people will recognise is a bit more difficult than i thought ?

Absolutely loved the menu tasting at our venue. So happy with our choice. I just can't wait for the big day. Just hope I don't slop anything down my beautiful dress lol!

This is my first ever post (although I have been snooping a little). We got engaged on 11/08/2014 and although we live in Sweden we will get married in the UK and then in Albania! I booked the UK venue this morning so can now confirm my date - 16th May 2016! So excited now, even though it seems like a lifetime to wait!

I just need a little rant ... We have finally decided on our date and emailed both the caterer and venue confirming but neither have come back to me! I am probably being really impatient but I have transferred the money for the deposits and heard nothing. Ah!
