That sounds amazing, WE are going for something similar, 3pm wedding, then drinks and a rock and metal gig with a buffet - finger food so that people can hold drinks and eat at the same time!

The planning isn't going to start until I have my dissertation out of the way, can't do both at the same time!!

Hello new date twin Hypochondriac!!!

We're not going to get stuck in til we're back from Australia mid March. my FMIL lives out there so we'll do a bit of planning while we're there, then come back and get organised!

I keep looking into things so I have shortlists, Shortlisted photographers, bands etc. A lot of them are booking up and we don't want to miss out!

Anyone else starting to worry that things are booking up so far in advance?!

I am for sure! We've booked the lighthouse for the ceremony though, our evening entertainment and our photographer and the rest are a bit quieter and not typically wedding venues so we should be okay we think!

Went to re try on 'my' dress today before deciding on it for def. Yep it's deffinately the dress and I'm (my dad) paying the deposit tomorrow! I get 10% off if I pay the deposit in december which saves nearly £200 well worth it as that will cover alterations later on.

9 days to go everyone. Then we can all say "We are getting married next year" ..... Super excited!!!

Soon as it hits midnight on jan 1st i'm putting it all over and texting everyone involved (mum, bridesmaid etc) that I'M GETTING MARRIED NEXT YEAR - YAY!

As for me, like most of you everything wedding related has been put on hold for a little bit with Christmas taking priority. Looking forward to the new year now - January 16th marks our 5 year anniversary and also exactly 18 months until the wedding. I think that's when it will start to become more real, and the countdown will truly begin. We are well under 600 days now which was one of my big markers, so I'm expecting (and hoping!) time will fly now. Excited

We're all booked now for the 29th May 2016 (17 months tomorrow!!!!) and it'll be my nanna's 87th birthday so a pretty good party for her too!!

Venue booked, registrar booked (only just, they only had a couple of slots left on our date, thankfully a fellow bride advised me to do this as we thought it was something we'd do further down the line!) photographer booked, and I'm a florist so that's ticked off the list too!

Phew! Things are getting real now

Happy Xmas everyone! Sorry I've been so absent, been mega busy. Can't believe it's been nearly a whole year since I got engaged. Used to feel like forever away when I had to say I was getting married in 2 and a half years but it'll be soon 1 and a half years... few more days and I can say next year!!!!

Not sure why I'm not on that list! 27th August, looking at Froyle Park. Have just booked a fabulous chap called Simon Jordan who is going to play the violin for my ceremony and piano for my reception. He lets me choose the music and can take requests on the day. Also looking at a great photographer called Dennis Arnold. Any good tips, girls?

Ah date triplets now! We looked at a string quartet, but at £700 for an hour, I think I'll just stick a cd on!

Belated merry Christmas to all the 2016 brides H2B has FINALLY said a definite yes to a venue! Now to get the in laws to give it the once-over and ask any 'adult' questions they might think of then we'll hopefully reserve a date this weekend - Best Christmas Present EVER! Haha.

Loving the idea of saying it's next year, although as I haven't even started any real planning yet it sounds a little scary!!!

I am quite excited to say next year as well!!

Not much happening planning wise for me, it feels as if we have done everything important and other things such as dresses, brides maids and stuff like that need to be sorted closer to the time. Bit of a wedding hole right now somehow.

We won't have musicians during the ceremony. There is an organist and we might have a friend play or we will stick a CD on.

I could do with some flower advice please. Our venue comes with beautiful silver candelabras for 5 candles which I really like for the centre pieces. However I am not sure what to do with flowers. I'd love to have some as they add a bt of colour and personality but I am not sure how to fit them in. I have looked at some pictures and I am not a hige fan of having the flowers in the middle somehow-it makes it look so full and busy.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Maybe a small flower arrangement around the bottom or a sort of wreath or something?

We're just having a playlist in the background for our ceremony/breakfast, and then a fabulous singer for the first half of the reception(and then he will dj for the rest).

As for planning, not much else is going on. I'm going to meet a dress maker January 24th and then maybe go to a local dress shop just to say i've been, haha.

Im trying to abstain from planning for a while...maybe till atleast june.

Hi, this is my first post though I have to admit I've been enjoying reading everyone's plans for a few months! My date is 7th May 2016 not sure if I have any date twins? Up to now I have paid deposits for just our venue and photography. Really really want to start dress shopping xx

Welcome to our 150th bride! No date twins at the moment but I'm expecting we will gain lots more brides in the new year so I'm sure it won't be long, especially with your date being a Saturday

Ladies, I've had the most wonderful news!

I got a phone call yesterday to say that my divorce went through ages ago but my ex's solicitors are so crap they forgot to tell the court my new address. After 3 years of him doing everything he can to delay it it's DONE!!!!!

We can now crack on with the wedding without that niggle
