There's an outlet opened up near me recently. They have gorgeous bridesmaid dresses for £30! You can guess where I'll be going!

If Gateshead is any good, I'd be up for a drive down with the girls for a look! Heading to a wedding in Lowestoft at the end of this month so I'm getting brave!

My OH encourages me to go to things and get excited about it, but my mum just sees pound signs and tells me she thinks we should wait. Looks like it'll be April at the earliest before we get moving properly! Although OH's mum in Aus wants to help out with planning while we're there so I've to bring the plans!

guys and gals - i've fallen in love with a dress and i literally cannot stop thinking about it - only thing is its the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what i thought i wanted. Its a disney princess dress, and i thought i wanted a lace tea length a-line dress. i'll flash the disney one below.
I haven't actually tried it on i don't have a stockinst near - its 45 mins away in car and i don't drive...

i'm so torn!



if i like the top i wonder if i could get it taken up to be tea length....

Have you got anyone who could take you? I fell in love with a dress only to try it on and not like it! Or can you go by public transport yeah it will take longer but may be worth it.

I went to a couple last year and i thought i was being too keen but there were 2017 brides and a couple of 2018 brides there. i was told i wasnt early at all lol

Go for the princess dress! Mine is a disney one . They are super comfy ( i tried loads of disney ones on)

I am strugging with hair and make up because my hair dresser can't come out. Im very particular about my hair. Going to have to brave another wedding fair to get some prices

McHelenz, which one did you get? Do you mind me asking how much it was? I didn't even know Disney had dresses but some look gorgeous

Yea They still do the 2011 styles, some shops just dont have samples in but they can get them for you.

If you go to page 76 on here my dress is on there, Its Sleeping Beauty at it costs about 1036 I think xx

I tried on a Mori Lee really huge puffy "latte" coloured dress. I loved it, it was gonna cause issues with colours though so i didn't try it again, but i do still think about that dress a lot..I wanted a 50's style dress orignally or a nice lace vintage style!

I became an actual girl that day haha.

Well, i have emailed 2 shops that stock the range now - worst outcome i try and don't like it but i get to try some other dresses too and have a nice little day out!

Wow MC that seems.quite reasonable. I would have thought Disney dresses might be a lot more expensive.

I am not sure when to go look for dresses. I'd like to lose between 20 and 30 kg before my wedding Not sure how realistic it is for.most of it to be gone by summer but I really want to get started.

I fell in love with a dress online, it was the opposite direction of of I was looking at and wanted, and it was a 45 min drive to the nearest stockists for me too, but I knew if I didn't go and try it on I would regret it and always think that would have been "the dress", but I went tried it on and it wasn't me, don't get me wrong it was amazing in the flesh but just not me. So if you can go and try it you'll know either either way.

@shelly YAYYYY great news, it's all coming riveting now, well be at the less than 18 months to go soon, how did that happen?? Lol I know everyone says it goes by so quick but it seems lik yesterday we were chuffed to be less than 2 years ?

My dress is corsetted back so will fit between a 12 and 16. When I went I had a bit of weight to lose (About 3.5 stone!) I've current lost about 2 of that and have about a stone and a half, I haven't had any measurements yet though so I have nothing really to worry about.

They have a Elsa dress, which I'm not dead keen on but I think i'd have to try it on for a laugh!!

I got my dress yesterday! Only went to try some on and ended up putting a deposit down! ? so exciting!

I bought my dress last month going for measurements in feb.

i went to the bridal shop with 2 types of dresses in mind.

Turns out they looked awful on me. in the end i went for a completely different design

OMG! I pick my dress up this Thursday! Its a Ronald Joyce and completely not what I expected to fall in love with! I thought I wanted a fishtail number, instead I've gone full on princess! People will be so shocked.

Had a meeting with our wedding planner on Saturday and was so relieved to discover we have already organised most things. Just music for ceremony and flowers to go, then its job done Love being so organised, feel like its taking any stress off.

Anyway, got two appointments with florists at the end of the month so hopefully that will be another thing booked soon!

It sounds like we've all been full of busy with planning. I've just sent a message to the florist i'm going to use - my brothers cousin (me and my brther have different dads, so shes not my cousin). If her price comes back too expensive i'll just be doing it myself!

I have just realised from my account settings that it is now only 500 days til I get married!!! EEEEEKKKKKKKKK!

Ok I know that is still ages away but I am stupidly excited. So far haven't done much planning except booked the venue (Sorrento, Italy) and the band for our UK celebration.

We have been looking at UK party venues and think we have a winner - just need some hard bargaining to seal the deal at a good price (which is looking likely at the mo!)

How are you all getting on?

A lot of our planning has been done already and paid for as we wanted to buy a house before we got married. We set the date last February, I found the most beautiful dress in the same month and I've only got one payment left on it woo hoo! I saw it originally in a bridal shop in the Lake District in 2013 the day after we got engaged and I was lucky to find a bridal shop that had it back home. We chose our wedding rings last April so we have nearly finished paying for them too.

We wanted to get most or all of the wedding paid for well in advance as we didn't know how long it would take us to find our new home and we were lucky enough to find our perfect home the first one we saw. We had a viewing at the end of July last year and moved in on the 7th October and our bungalow is just perfect. I have a few health problems and our home is everything we needed and wanted especially to help me.

Anyway my main problem is my stationery which is going to take some time so I'm going to get cracking on it soon. I make cards as a hobby so I have always dreamt of making my own wedding stationery but it's not as easy as I thought it was going to be but I've got plenty of time not to get stressed about it, I hope.

Im a bit of a eager beaver texter.

Basically, my photographer has been awesome, I had a car accident and couldn't afford to pay his deposit before xmas so he said we could pay January. I dont have the money till the end of the month though.

I text him last week to ask for the bank details to show I hadn't forgotten and didn't want to take the piss! He said he'd email it across, I text him again Saturday where he said something had come up and he would get it across asap.

It still hasn't come, but i dont actually have the cash, would you just text again at the end of the month? I dont want to look like a mither! (I also know it makes sense to chase up when i actually have cash...)

I've been the same-ish, just to make sure she knows we're interested haha
I've sent a few emails to TOG but she has passed all info forward now, we just need to pay after payday.

He probably is rushed off his feet with work so I wouldn't worry about it, we know every one will be short of cash right after Christmas?

Great thanks I know I'm being silly, coz we've met him twice and he's a really nice guy! He booked us when I had to spend all my money on car. If i hear nothing i'll try at the end of the month
