Found the perfect bridesmaid dresses today so have booked an appointment for all 4 of my BM's to have a look and try them on next Saturday, with a view to ordering them in September. It's slowly but surely coming together ... Yay ?

We have changed the gold glitter theme to silver glitter now, as I think I have found my dress(and gold really won't go with it)!!

I really want to flash it but I can't from the iPad app either way, I'm going to try it on for a second time in Friday afternoon before having an appointment at a different shop - hitch I now don't even want to go to!

Have paid the deposits on the venue and for the registrar, booked hair and make up, going to look at chair covers and sashes etc to pick a colour this Saturday when H2B is home, ( he is in the RAF)

Ohh its so exciting, im going to a Florist on friday with the OH.

I dont know what to do now! haha

Wow, I wasn't you to say that. Thanks for pushing me in their direction, I have just had a look on their website and they have some lovely dresses. Not at all what I remember from back in the day!

I thought about putting an embellished sash round the waist, just to lift them a bit, but maybe too much? I'm really not sure if it's too early to order them, but at the price, I can't afford not to if they're perfect! If sizes change drastically or they're not suitable, I'm sure I could get most of my money back by selling them on.

Personally I don't think they even need a sash; the lace top is a nice detail on its own. Plus by the time your BM's are accessorised and have flowers, it might look a bit 'busy' if you get me.

I'm afraid I can't help regarding if it's too early to order them, I'm in the same boat, but at least if you have them I'm sure your BM's will try to not drastically change size before you're wedding. Unless any of them are planning to lose weight or anything specifically for the day.

These are in a local bridal store and so we can all get to fittings without any problem. Another thing ticked off the list. Yay! ?

We went to see our wedding venue again last week and today finally received our quote, only for it to be a fair bit more than we anticipated! Now we have the hard task of cutting down our guest list. Has anyone else found writing a guest list hard? or is it just me! We both have big families.

Our venue offers an all inclusive package of ceremony venue, gazebo by the lake if its nice or a room inside if not, reception for 40 with welcome drinks, bucks fizz or orange juice, three course meal, wine with meal, prosecco for toast, evening reception with DJ for up to 150, and overnight accommodation for us for £2999.00 so we have our numbers BEFORE we have a guest list. I don't have my parents, well my Mum passed away and my Dad wants nothing to do with me, I am an only child so its just my 3 children, my son in laws, a plus one for my son and my little granddaughter who is to be flower girl. H2B has his Dad and Brother and sister in law, her son and his son, who probably won't come because he has never met me and won't talk about me even. OH ex is a lunatic who has basically said its her or me to the poor lad and so bless him he is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Maybe come nearer the wedding he will have matured enough to make up his own mind (he is 18 now)

Aww bless, MrsGrey2B, he'll make his mind up. if i were him i'd tell his mum were to go but i get its easier said than done.

our family situation is complicated. my mum and dad are still together so no issue there, but OH parents arent and havent spoken to each other in over 20 years. they really dont get on. not sure how the top table is going to work. im pretty sure im going to have to split his mum and dad's side up.

My uncle got sent down. hes out now and even though i hate what he has done, he is my uncle, but my parents have said he cant come because it will cause too much drama.

im dreading finalising my guest list lol
