Wow what a lovely sorry behind your date although i am really sorry about your mum and sister.

The 17th sept is also special to me although it's not quite as good as yours, 17th of sept 2016 would be 10yrs to the day that me and my OH first met, and then on the 18th will be our 10yrs of being together. (we met on line, so the 17th is the date we met up in person after 10months of speaking online and phonelol)

Yay for June 3rd ladies!! (And man! Lol)

Yesterday (sun) went with OH to our 1st wedding fayre at the Belfry hotel. Got lots of leaflets to look at and websites to visit

Ive got a wedding fair in 2 weeks. i cant wait. ive been to it before but i know what im after now

As for me, I bought these at the weekend to add to my growing collection of venue decorations:-

These are going to be used for my table centrepieces and will be filled with loveheart sweets:-

And these rose trees will be at either end of our top table:-

I'm going to need a bigger storage facility than my mum's spare bedroom soon!!!

Booked the ceremony at the Town Hall this morning!

Bubblerawk, saw some lovely table dec's but just haven't got any ideas or themes of what to go for

the only that I decided on was a total change of mind in the car to the church and then the reception, as I'm disabled and walk with an elbow crutch was going for the old fashioned 1930's type car but have now decide on the followin

I love the table decorations and trees, where are they from?

Ive bought cylinder vases for our table decorations, just need to buy more candles and petals to go with them

The trees are from Home Bargains £15 each and the table decorations are from the range £16.99 each x

Finally booked our venue last week... So put me down for 23 October 2016!!

There's a wedding fayre at the venue on 1st March which I am really looking forward too, but we won't really be able to book much else until this time next year! All you super-organised lot have got me worried!

Well, we have now paid the deposit for the chair covers/sashes and the other decorative bits that we are hiring - we have also sorted out centerpieces as we're hiring them. These are our chair covers

and these are the centerpieces, only with no ivy and coloured candles instead.

Hellandglory the chair sashes are beautiful and your centre pieces ?

I'm in two minds about the date of our wedding. I don't really want to get married to my OH - we're not the same as what we were when we first got together, not as close - we'll I'm not. Changing the date would give us some time to sort things out, as I really don't want to go down the route of cancelling things yet. I'm thinking more along the lines of I can't be bothered with the whole divorce thing if we got married, I'd be gutted about the money my parents would have paid out, so changing the date would be better.

Truth be told I'm also unsure of wanting to be with him still.

LS I'm really sorry to read this. However if there is any doubt about how you feel then you are doing the right thing by giving yourself some time. I hope you work out what's best for you. Good luck and remember we are all here for you x

I'm sorry to hear you're going through all this, have you spokeN to your OH about how you feel?

I know it's easy for me to say bit I'm sure your parents would rather you be happy.

I will just say, if you are unsure know, you will still feel the same if you chain the date.

Have you been spending anytime together since you started planning the wedding? Is it just a case the wedding is taking over and you've forgotten to be a couple?

I hope you can sort it out, but we are here for you, sending hugs

LS just wanted to echo what the others have said. Don't feel like you have to do anything because of money people have spent. I'm sure your parents would rather lose deposits than you get married to someone you don't want to. Give yourself time. Although all of us on this thread have been planning in advance, don't forget you do still have plenty of time. People have planned weddings in much smaller timeframes. Give yourself a break from planning - those things can be done later - and focus on working out what you want.

So sorry to hear that littlesnowflake - i just want to echo what others have said though...it is still a long time until your wedding so take some time out and try and work things out. Me and OH did this recently and now we are closer that ever before.
Theres a lot to be said for saying stuff it to everyone/thing and spending quality time with each other.

Quick update from me, not been on this thread for a while!. Today I booked our venue dressing, dj and magician. It all seems to be coming together nicely just hope its not all booked too soon and I have nothing left to do nearer the time. sure I've still lots to do xxx

We're making good progress, the venues all booked, photography and venue dressing booked. Asked all my friends to be bridesmaids (they all said yes!) and today we've bought our rings very relieved that it's all starting to come together. Hope you're all enjoying the planning

Karakat - that sounds so organised already. I'm going to look at dresses next weekend just because I cannot put it off for that long. Not necessarily to buy, but because my mum and sisters will be over anyway and I want to get a feel for what style I like best when it's on Otherwise I would burst!

Just doing our Save the Dates as we'd like to make sure people are aware (lots of people travelling from varying distances and summer wedding!) and then... I guess it'll be my time to chill out. I don't know how this will work out!
