I got mone on daisy path go on there website... its a step by step to get yours then copy your code i think its the forum one you click thats your code then go go onto your profile and copy it into your signature. i think you need to make sure the bb cose is enabled aswell.

We did our notice! I know its really early but friends of ours left it very late and picked up their licence the morning of the wedding after a rush job!

Any who - we turned up with all of the documents we were told to bring but they changed the requirements 4 days before! OH didn't have what he needed and the guy went to cancel everything and told us we had to rebook. I explained I had the appointment booked for a few weeks and I wasn't updated. Luckily, I printed out the confirmation which showed I booked before the new rules came in! Thank God he agreed to go ahead and we just had to take in OH 's driving licence within 14 days.

So - check what you need and print out your confirmations! For info - we each had to take our passports and driving licences - both parts and at the correct address. It was funny answering questions about each other

I can't remember whether I've posted my date but it's 18th June 2016 we have church, reception venue, DJ/performer, photographers and my dress (found it today!) sorted so far. Our reception space isn't exactly conventional so things like toilets and generator hire are next on the list! - never thought I'd be researching those when planning my wedding!

434 Days to go! How is everyone's planning coming along? Ive been super quiet since I posted my date last year but wedding planning is getting in to full swing and I am trying not to let is consume my life!

Here's a little update on me, any twin dates active? Or any venue twins?!

03/06/2016 is the big day and we've got so far;

Venue; Eaves Hall, Clitheroe!

Photographer, MUA & Evening Band are BOOKED! Currently getting quotes for hair!

I've got 3 florist appointment booked over the next few weeks too. Had one quote for £2500, so looking in to other options at the minute with the idea that the bouquets, buttonholes etc will be professionally done with a budget of £500 and then we will buy the rest wholesale with another £500 and decorate ourselves!

But the BIG ONE is I have wedding dress appointments booked!!! I've not even tried on a dress despite being engaged for over a year, so now I finally get to try one on but Im a bit nervous!

I've got 2 booked for local bridal salons back in my home town on April 4th as a starting point, and then Harrogate Wedding Lounge on the 18th April and Finally David Bridal in June when we visit London.

Have to say, if I got a quote that high for flowers I think I'd pass out haha! Ours is coming to about £600 for everything! We've to go for our proper consultation with her once we have my dress and the BMs sorted so she can match them all up.

OH is also not wanting ushers because people shouldn't need them he says. I'm in 2 minds about it myself. He has some great friends and I know he wouldn't want to exclude any of them by not asking.

Also finally got round to booking my first dress appointment. It's kind of scary but exciting at the same time! You'll have to let us know how you get on!

Hello there ladies (and gents)

So even though our wedding is still 17mo ths away (541 days) i think i am doing ok with this planning stuff haha.

Venue and church booked. Photographer is sorted (a close friend) i have just got 2 quotes for bands and think i might book one tomorrow tomorrow, i am also looking at quotes for the transport. By the end of next monthbi would have bought 1half of my favours, childrens packs for the tables and possible the start of my centerpieces.

I dont know what the next thing to do is lol

I know Flowers certainly are expensive!

I don't want to be OTT with the cost but equally I do love flowers, and would like them to be a big part of the day. We met a local supplier on Saturday morning who grows her own flowers in the garden, so we hand over a bit of our rights in respect of what flowers we can have and designs but she seems like she might be able to accommodate all our requirements (and a bit more!) for a much more reasonable price (still waiting on the estimate!).

I've confirmed my hairdresser for the day as well today, just need to pay my deposit but Barclays online banking is refusing to work so I'll have to do that tonight instead!

Although now Im pricing up the cost in my head and having 5 bridesmaids is going to be an expensive expense!

£40 each for make up

£30 each for hair up

£30-40 for their flower bouquets depending on what I choose.

£25 shoes (They'll be getting them from newlook!)

£50 dress approx. (Material as my mum making the dresses)

that's £185 each bridesmaid before I've paid for their hotel the night before, and their gift (which I was planning for it to be jewellery so they are all wearing the same on the day!) YIKES.

I have just been quoted 1000 for flowers which includes 9 centre pieces my bouquet ans 5 bridesmaids buttonholes and top table. Do people think this is an ok amount?

Sounds ok to me. I was quoted £720 for 2 bridesmaid bouquets, 6 buttonholes, 4 corsages, top table and 8 centrepieces.

I'm having dress and veil wobbles, I'm really not sure I like them anymore, mum seems to think when I try it on again I'll fall back in love with it but I feel like I'm past that stage and just want to change.

Oh LSF I think maybe trying it on again would give you some peace of mind.

If you still feel the same way after trying it again then maybe consider changing it.

Can I ask where you have looked for flowers Callela? That's what we're trying to sort at the minute, and wanting to go for someone local to try and keep costs down.. We're waiting on a quote from the Floral Design Boutique. but I'm looking at few more local florists like Poppies in Tilicoultry and Trudi Todd.

I've just booked our flowers, we're having silk blooms bouquets and button holes then 2 real flower displays for the ceremony to match. We're £470 for my bouquet, 3 bridesmaids, 6 buttonholes & 2 large pedestal displays for the ceremony. Slightly over budget but getting to keep my bouquet forever is appeasing me!

I haven't a clue what our budget should be for flowers?! I've only found one place with a price list for guidance, so it all looks like guesses to me atm..

There's a big wedding event at Hampden at the weekend, might be a shout for finding some other options? You can usually get a bit of a discount there too!

I'm budgeting £500. I really don't want to go over that, but I think it's more than enough for what we want!

Yeh that budget sounds reasonable! I only have 1 BM so that should keep costs down, but def cant afford any more than £500 for everything! I don't think my other half would allow me to drag him to another fayre (he's only been to 2 really, and one was in gean house so that was okay! lol), and hes actually interested in organising the flowers more than me!

Yeah, I think she's about £65 for bridal and £35 for BM or something like that! I met her at the Alloa town hall one. I wanted to go to the Gean House one but we were in Australia!

OH works weekends so I just go with friends! There's one in Falkirk Town Hall on the 31st of May if that's of any use! I'll be heading there too I think. They're great for ideas!

We booked a videographer. Didn't realize we wanted one til recently so booked that. Also got some wedding insurance, thought that might be important!

Booked in for my first dress shopping appointment on the 11th, so nervous/excited!

How about you? Did you sort out your church?

I loved being back at Gean House, you were able to look around all the bedrooms so I took pics of them all and the views to show my family who are staying

Yeh i was in 2 minds about the wedding insurance, but in the end just went with Debenhams one and got cashback and gift card so wasn't that much in the end and gives me pace of mind, coz I've read so many stories of people being cancelled on!!

Yes thankfully, I am not as panic-y about the whole church situation. I spoke to one of the priests after mass one sunday, and asked him about it and said I was bit nervous etc, but he didn't think it would be an issue, and if anything were to happen with churches closing or whatever, it would take a while.. so tbh, nothing I can do atm, just keep ploughing on!

If our budget was endless, I would consider a videographer, but OH isn't keen at all (had to convince him that you needed a photographer!!), so if I never thought about it, then we're just leaving it for the mean time.

I can't wait to go back again! I think we're going back to speak to them in November to check we're on budget when our numbers are more confirmed!

I went to their open evening, got in all the rooms the first time we went too. We've been about 4 times hehe!

We went with John Lewis, wasn't too expensive and covered everything we needed it it. It was the videographer that sealed it for me, Paying high deposits when there's still a while to go makes me nervous! (He's only £850 for a decent package, so quite happy! Said we wouldn't go above 2k for photo and video togetherand we got it!)

I've waited 6 months to start looking, mum said to wait til Summer but I want to give myself plenty of time. I don't want to rush. I've got so little free time that I'm just booking up as and when I can!

Hello to all the new 2016 brides and grooms, am I right in think ing we have more people in the 16 July group now??

Well, the only thing we've done is buy the prosecco for the champagne bus. Asda have got their offer of 6 bottles for £25. We had this prosecco at Christmas and it was lovely so yesterday we got 24 bottles and today we are going to get another 12. It works out about £4.15(ish) a bottle, but of a bargain.

The next thing to do is make an appointment to give notice. Can only make the appointment after May, which isn't long off really.

I can't believe how close we are getting to the year mark too! Everyone is right, the time does just fly by!
