feeling a bit like im not as organised as everyone else is on here! ive absolutely NOTHING booked! I have however, tried on dresses and narrowed it down to two (I know which one I prefer though!) im going back after my holiday in july to re-try them on and pick one. when I get back I will also book any pay the deposit on the reception venue and church. Once that's done then I can order invites

8 Sept 2016 for me!

We booking our venue this week! So exciting. Was looking for cheaper mobile hair and makeup artist, anyone know of anyone friends or family that do that in the Berkshire area?

I got my dress on Saturday! I'm over the moon. It was the best experience!

I'd tried on what I'd found online and thought was the one then burst out crying when I put it on because I hated it and I thought the perfect dress didn't exist! The owner came over thinking I was happy crying to congratulate me but when I said I hated it she made it her mission to find the one! And she did! They gave us all a glass of bubbly to celebrate and I'm over the moon!

Hello ladies, I went and saw my dream dress on Saturday and I love it even more in person. I am arranging for all my bridemaids and my mum to come down in Sseptember to try on dresses including that one. So exciting. Also had a meeting with a florist on Sunday and think she is perfect too. Just a matter of money ....

What make/model is that first dress.. it's stunning!!

I'm feeling quite organised after a surge in planning (courtesy of procrastination from uni work!!) We've now got a church, a venue, cars, cake, Tog, venue dressers and a DJ. Starting to take shape!!

I've been booking dress appointments for August (next best time if we want mid-week appointments) and one of the boutiques asked me for my dress size and the style I'm looking for. Does this seem a bit weird to anyone else? I co-operated but thought I'd see what you ladies think?

They maybe just wanted to make sure you didn't get there and be disappointed if they didn't have samples in your size or the style you were looking for? Maybe they wanted to get an idea so that when you come in they have some suggestions?

I only ended up going to one dress shop and they didnt ask me for my size. its a good job they didnt. i normally wear a 12/14 but my wedding dress will be a size 18. (im 3 different sizes so they are going for the biggest)

This is what I thought, it just seemed odd they're the only ones asking this... maybe just because I did my research so I know they will have styles I'm interested in... but also that you're meant to keep an open mind. Hopefully they'll be ok booking an appointment nearer to my other one. So exciting!

I'm going to have a size 20 dress, but i'm a 16 in my normal clothes...

Yeah i know, couldn't believe it when she said 18, if i lose a bit more weight they could order a 16 but its still a big gap from 12/14.

My sisters are arranging my hen atm so exciting and found my sophia tolli wedding dress last weekend.

Try not to get hung up on the size of the dress, it's going to be altered to fit you perfectly anyway so it won't be the size you've ordered. Also, people aren't going to say "ooohhh what a lovely dress what size is it?" As long as it fits you and your happY with your choice the size shouldn't matter.

I need to stop getting worked up over dress sizes, ive lost a lot of weight over the years but ive always been hung up on my dress size.

I've heard that wedding dresses run small. I find that fishtails are a bit snug on the hip/bum area. Am a size 10 and i've only tried on pronovias dresses and they where size 10/12 and all fit or where to big. Maybe its different designers like shops on the high street, you can be a size 12 in jeans in one shop and a size 16 won't fit you in another. Don't get down I hated myself in fishtails and i've worked super hard to lose 3 stone this past year but they just highlight all my bad bits :s As I said try different designers on and you might see a difference.

I'm normally a 12 but my dress is a 10, you should've seen the grin on my face haha!

Aargh- I have just bought a dress! I went to try some on Saturday and have kept thinking about one in particular since then. The more I looked at it on Pinterest the more I loved it. Then tonight just thought I would have a look on eBay and there it was! A shop sample, says it is in immaculate condition and hardly tried on. Sounds too good to be true but I am so excited about it! Don't want to tell many people so that my dress is a surprise, so sharing my excitement on here. It's Alan Hannah - summer
