****2016 Brides**** 326 brides (and 3 grooms!) so far!

Everyone seems to be really organised and all your honeymoons sound amazing! We're not going on honeymoon, which does upset me, but realistically we couldn't afford the honeymoon plus the wedding - and i know which one we want more!

As for wedding things - we have everything sorted except the rings and OH's suit. Feeling great about it all!

Another thing ticked off for me today, went with FMIL and OH to order the flowers, so thats all done now

Oooh bubblerawk how exciting! I opted for silk flowers and have them already stored away.

Everyone's planning seems to be getting there. I've still got my cake issue to sort (telling FMIL she's not making it). On that note, do any of you know how far in advance you need to order your wedding cake?

FMIL is a florist so i let her sort them out for the most part

i booked our cake last year, the lady doing ours is pretty full for next year already but i guess it depends on who you want

I'd do it ASAP. The first 2 cake ladies that I contacted were already booked for our date and that was 18 months before our wedding. We've paid a deposit to secure the date but we don't need to confirm exactly what we want until just before the wedding.

Shelly70 we booked our cake just over 2 years before the wedding. We knew exactly who we wanted and she gets booked up fast. We have confirmed the booking, paid a deposit and chose the style of the cake but we don't have to finalise anything and pick the flavours until closer to the date xx

I'd say the same as everyone else - the sooner the better

@shelly do you know what type of cake you want, if it's just a simple white cake, M&S ones are pretty good. (I can't remember if you have flashed/mentioned it before)

Thanks Jen-Lou. I haven't flashed the cake before and yes I do want a simple white cake. My dad has a contact he's going to ask tomorrow and if not then M&S will be my back up. Hoping to have a fruit tier, chocolate sponge tier and vanilla sponge tier. Fingers crossed my dad comes up trumps x

I've just ordered my invites, they've cost the grand total of 20 pounds!

Im starting to worry about paying for things - i'm a student nurse and OH is just about to start his degree. We are waiting on his house to sell which was to pay things off, and we've also had kind parents who are contributing - the wedding is 14 months away and the house has been up for 9 months, I know i shouldn't worry but you know!

I've started a part time job so i think I might start putting a bit in savings just so i can cover more bits x

Ohhhhh my goodness, i've totally fallen in love with a ring...nly its not available in my size and they're not sure if its going to come back in to stock or not! ?

Hellandglory that's a gorgeous ring, I hope they manage to get it for you. We gave notice this morning so in 28 days we can legally get married! Thankfully it wasn't as awful as some people made out & the registrar was lovely. We also booked our marriage preparation course at the church for 15th & I tried my wedding ring on, so all in all a very productive day.

We booked our cake consultation on Saturday, Booked a ring consultation which we were supposed to go to tonight but my car broke down last night and OH is staying at his grandmothers to look after her and can't leave her for too long so we have to reschedule.

I found a good deal on cars and flowers, but then we decided to enquire on the cars we really wanted and they were less than a hundred quid more so we're going for those instead!

Attempted some DIY save the dates and they were awful so I might just pay someone to do it!

I think we can afford to slow down a bit now, which is nice!

Having a bit of a dress melt down...

I tried my dress on a few months ago and loved it so I obviously ordered it! However the more I look at pictures I'm beginning to wish I went for something else as I think it really doesn't suit my figure. It makes me look
much bigger than I am. So annoyed I ordered it and didn't think more about it!

Aww i love your dress, i think it really suits you and it doesnt make you look bigger than you are. its lovely

Well ladies I got my wedding cake ordered. My dad came up trumps with his contact and she was more than happy to make us exactly what we want. Phew ... one less thing to worry about and one more thing ticked off the to do list ?

Glad you got it sorted with the cake!!

If you're not confident in it then change it. But if you think this dress makes you look big and you go for a more fitting dress, you're going to have a lot more pressure on you to maintain your size til the wedding. Think about how you felt when you put it on. Something made you choose it, so remember what that was and stop doubting your decision.

STOP looking at other dresses. I'm deleting the photos I have of me in my dress so I can't wobble or feel any differently. Put it to the back of your mind or you'll just stress yourself out.

Bit of a pointless post but little things get me excited ... Met my makeup artist last night and she recommended a liptstick for me to buy for the actual wedding day. So rushed over in my lunch hour today and bought it. It looks great. I love it. I've been searching for a few months now for the right colour so am glad that's sorted! YAY!!! ?

We have organised the date for our engagement shoot - eventually! October 25th in a country park just up the road from our home - can't wait!

I'm thinking of having my hair and make up done by the lady that will be doing it on the day as she only charges £20 for day time make up if done in her home. Hopefully will love it!

I'm clearing out my wedding items and will list them on the for sale it's mainly winter themed items but there's a few other bits.

I'm great thanks about from my health taking a dive :[ cancelling the wedding was the best decision I've ever made! So glad! I'm thinking of moving back home and selling the house and getting my deposit back. Just at mums doing a bit of a clear out in my old room - gonna get it decorated and then see where I go from there. How's the wedding planning going?

I bought my shoes and clips today! I'm so happy with them, they get delivered to the shop next week!
