To be honest, im not making any save the dates, I will just message people with the website address, but will speak to the OH and see what he thinks before I do anything.

Im having a long dress - its sleeping beauty 2013 by Alfred Angelo But Im sure i'll flash the shoes!

Ive just persuaded the other half if the weather is bad then we are gonna do our guest list tomorrow i think. I have made a wedding website but it looks awful! Think I'm gonna spend some time jazzing it up and send it to everyone. Possibly need to do a Facebook group too xx

Yeah were doing some wedding bits today too. What site did you use for your website? We used gettingmarried.co.uk found it really easy to use (did I send you the link to ours for ideas? I have the feeling weve had this conversation before, have we?)

I used getting married last year to have a play. Im currently having a go at using the knot. The themes look better I'll link it up when i've got some done!

We are just doing the first draft guest list But think I'm leaving it to that so its simple to use x

I like the lay out of it just a heads up I looked at it on my phone and it was good. That was one thing I was worried about, how it would "translate" to a phone or tablet.

Hows the guest list coming? any arguments yet? ha, that's one of the things we will end up arguing over.

We did a guest list and a basic table plan - no arguments! At the end of July I'm gonna make a Facebook group and release the website so people can look into hotels.

Im really happy with it. Just been looking at honey fund, dont think i like the registry thing, Might just leave people to make their own mind - i'd be happy with anything if people wanna get us things.

Phew! Its all been a bit of a whirlwind this week having just booked the registry office and the reception venue! But its all starting to feel so much more real now! Have spent a stressful hour ordering birth certificates and now im really nervous-keep having visions of giving notice and being told all the documents are wrong! ? x

We're using 'theknot' for our wedding website as well - i've found id super easy to use!

Thank you for the thoughts ladies hopefully I'll be back later today with a clearer idea of how it all works.

Our save the date plan isn't very set in stone, although I'd like to get them ready to go before we hit the year mark. After we've passed it, we'll give them out as and when we see people. One evening while it's warm, we'll walk round and hand deliver a load, as pretty much all of my side live in my home town. Anyone we haven't seen in those 6 months will get theirs in their Christmas card, so about 7 months before. Should still be plenty of time but I've worked out who those people will be and its almost all people who we've invited because we have to rather than want to, so I won't be too bothered if they've already booked a holiday or something.

That being said, most people we're bothered about already know when & where the wedding is. A few have even been told about the wedding night hotel allocation we've got, and will probably book before they get their save the date. We definitely could have got away with not sending save the dates, but I just like the idea of them. Wow, managed to type a lot about save the dates there!

We have just recently booked the venue and Registrar too-sooo exciting isn't it?! ? Haved you planned anything else yet? Currently trying to work out an itinerary for the big day - so much to think about, but trying to enjoy it all ?

Eeeeek 7 months tomorrow!!! This is flying by. I feel like we've got most of the big stuff done but so many little things to do, it's feeling a bit overwhelming at times! I have a to do list and just have to keep checking off small things, eventually it will feel like I'm getting somewhere I'm sure!!

Going to try on the dress on Saturday and hopefully order it. I've tried it on and decided on it, just taking my mum and sister to have a look before I order it! I ended up going dress shopping on my own (to the 4th shop where I found it) as it was a nightmare organising for other people to come, and it was so much more relaxing going by myself! I don't really like being centre of attention so trying things on in front of people is not ideal for me! How have other people got on with shopping - on your own or with family / friends?

It is so exciting! We're lucky that our venue has given us a few example itineraries depending on the ceremony time so we will probably work with one of those and trust those in the know. We've asked all the bridesmaids, best man, ushers etc and I'm currently researching photographers, hoping to get one booked this week! What date are you getting married?

Ahhh thats good they are so helpful ? Our wedding day is 9th March, suddenly seems like time has crept up on me! We have booked our village hall for the venue so there is a lot of DIY involved-hope i haven't bitten off more then i can chew haha! You are very organised! The only bridesmaid i have asked so far is my sister? what sort of venue are you having?

We ticked another thing off the list last night as we did our church marriage preparation course. As my h2b isn't religious he found it a little strange but at least all the official bits are done now & the priest will actually marry us. Hope everyone else's planning is going well
