****2016 Brides**** 326 brides (and 3 grooms!) so far!

That's so exciting! 26 for me!!

We are getting near the 6 month mark!! Its all starting to pick again as we did loads when we first organised the date - which was great! I would really recommend doing as much as you can, while you can. The time flies by and I am so glad I don't have as much to do. We are doing a tasting menu on Thursday and I finalised the wording for our invites yesterday

We are in the middle of buying a house as well

Thank you all so much for making me feel better about what we've already sorted out! I'm glad that I'm normal and not being obsessive! We booked the registrar today so now we have the ceremony and reception venues booked aswell as the registrar, and I also have my dress!!! I can officially officially say that we are all booked in for 3rd June... Yay!!!

We are going through the process of selling our house and buying a new home too, glad to know I'm not the only one!

So many people have said me and my OH are crazy trying to plan a Wedding and move house at the same time, I think it adds to the excitement actually!

Jen-Lou I can't believe we're days away from being under the 12 month mark. Reality is kicking in and I'm beginning to freak out. I am very organised with spreadsheets galore so I'm sure I'm on top of things but I'm starting to panic over the finer details in case I miss something really obvious ... I'll be a nervous wreck this time next year lol x

Just booked to try my dress on again in August! excited.

We went to a wedding fayre today and have had such a productive day - the photographer and transport are now both booked!! As much as I was excited before I'm REALLY excited now!! Just under 11 months to go, eek!!!

One year today I will be getting married!

I'm so excited I had to post it!

The count down has begun for me!

I think I've got all the big things booked now! Got a cake appointment on the 14th then need to sort out flowers but I'm having lots of different thoughts about that right now.

Hi Ladies

So Monday mum and I went for a girlie day shopping to London and she only went and found her mother of the bride outfit from Jacques Vert. It's a gorgeous pale blue and silver dress with matching fascinator. Not only that but it was in the sale so she saved over £150. I must confess she looks lovely in it and it did bring a tear to my eye.

A successful day all in all ?

I am getting more and more excited by the minute, I don't know how I am going to be able to cope with the next 11 months!!!

Going bridesmaid dress hunting on Saturday... how hard can it be to find a navy long dress in nice material, not too expensive? We will find out very soon!

Just flowers and bridesmaid dresses to decide on, tiara to find, decide on menu, make table names and table plan, persuade H2B to have a videographer.. and that's pretty much it!

You could easily dress it up a bit with a belt! If you love it then tell her to shh!

Hi all. It's amazing reading through recent posts and seeing how you're all organised and excited - would you mind sending some of that enthusiasm over to me?!

Don't get me wrong, I am too happy at the thought of being married to my OH. I just can't (be bothered?) to plan this thing. I want it done - I want to be able to wake up one morning and do it, can't be faffed with sorting it all! My OH is happy to offer a lending hand in the final throes of a decision, but doesn't want to do any research so I need to get my act together to put this whole thing to bed. All we've got at the moment is the venue and confirmed registrar time (3pm, 21st April 2016). That's it. So much else to do!

I've got my first dress shopping experience tomorrow with my mum, MIL and SIL tomorrow so I'm hoping that gets me excited again... but I fear it might make me even worse! I don't do dress up at the best of times and while my parents have offered to pay for my dress, I really don't want to (waste) a lot of money on one piece of clothing I'll wear once. Also, I'm scared I'll get there and all of the dresses will look awful on me.

Don't really know what to do or how to feel. I just want to be married

Pooba... can you think of it as one big party for all your friends? Skip the breakfast, just have a later ceremony and a big party instead? You don't need to spend a lot on the dress, lindy-bop do nice dresses in white if you want something simple yet fabulous The dress shops all range in prices and there are so many different options, styles, colours etc you will find one you feel great in. Hope you feel more excited soon xx

Ahhh pooba, if you dont want a big thing and just want to go and get married, do that. What's stopping you and your other half going and getting married one afternoon?

But if you want to do something a bit bigger, a better bet might be a package deal in a hotel, a lot of it will be done by their co-ordinator.

Thanks for your words, NoMoore and jen-lou. We were toying with the idea of running away, but we decided we wanted a bit of a party with friends, so will probably be having 50-60 people there.

The venue have a lot of in-house suppliers, so that's cut down a bit of the work but even so... need to check who we want, what sort of decorations, etc.

I think a big problem at the moment is that we both have a lot of things going on, very little spare time and I'm away from home a lot more than I was because of a new work role. I keep telling myself it will all calm down October-time, but then it will be quite late in the day to organise stuff!

Is there such thing as 'wedding blues' before you've even had the wedding?!

Is anyone booking a DJ for music for the reception and ceremony, has anyone got an idea of a reasonable price?

I've booked a DJ for our reception. The quote we got was £350. When booking, it's worth checking a few things -

-does the cost include their transport costs to/from the venue

-does the cost include lighting or are there different packages?

-does food/drinks have to be provided to the dj

-when/how long will they play.

Our DJ is £275, he is the in house DJ for the hotel though and I don't know if that makes a difference to the price.

Pooba, maybe you need to take a 'wedding holiday' - you know, just take a couple of weeks to not think or do anything about the wedding and then when you come back to it you will have a clear head and hopefully won't be as stressed about it. You don't need to have a lavish all singing all dancing affair if you dont want to, even with the 50-60 guests you said about you could still keep it fairly low key with simple decorations etc. Also try and delegate as much as you can so you don't feel like you're on your own with it and have everything to deal with. As much as it's an important day, you dont want to get too anxious about it - it's your day! I hope you feel better soon

According to the email the in-house DJ sent, he's £230 for 4 1/2 hours set. Whether we need to feed him and/or pay transport, I'm not sure.

Thanks for your advice, Jade8. I think I'd feel weird having a 'wedding holiday' seeing as I feel as though I haven't actually done much work for it... plus, I can't help but think/daydream/worry about it in every spare moment I have. It's a bit like a piece of homework that I keep putting off, but the deadline is coming and I have a sh*t tonne of stuff to get done before then!

I keep trying to palm off the planning to friends and family and while it was funny to begin with, the maniacal look in my eye and my sheer insistence is starting to scare people.

Any of you guys want to organise it for me?! ?
