We just reached the year mark! It is crazy to think that today in one year we will be getting married, and exciting!!! So far have booked venue and church, made all paper items like save the dates and invitations, I have my dress but that is about it!

I don't think I have a date twin on here yet?

I havent started looking at DJs yet, but looking at the recent comments on dj prices will start having a look.

Is anyone having a DJ plus a live band? My Fiance's cousin plays in a band and we have asked them to do our wedding. I'm thinking they will do alternate sets with the DJ.

Does anyone know if this would mean a cheaper dj price (as less DJ time) Or would it be the same?

MrsWallaceToBe we looked at this and were quoted the same price for the DJ and if we had him solo due to the fact he still had to be in attendance for the same amount of hours and the set up/travel etc was still the same.

this may not be the same for everyone x

Hi, I get married 11 June 2016. So far we have the wedding venue and reception venue sorted,dj is sorted,my dress is sorted, all suits are sorted, catering room decorating bouquets and cake all being sorted bt the same person, we have a friend to do photos (he is brill and really cheap haha) so very nearly organised with less than 1year to go. Time is flying by making me stress we don't have enough time left lol ?

Hi bride in waiting. You are my date twin! I am nowhere near as organised as you are though! We have our venue sorted and the photography! Trying to lose weight before I go dress shopping so will start in September. Time is flying by its crazy!

LOL. I feel like we have a good deal but as I know some of the deejays we like would have qouted a lot more. plus it includes our lighting as well.

JulyBride16, I got my dress last week, I'm just thinking of excuses to let me wear it again, as it's being stored at my parents-in-law's house. I will need to buy a low back bra/basque for under it, as it's a low back, so I will need to check it doesn't show underneath. think that'll be my excuse!

I'm actually having real trouble finding something, I'm an F cup size and I can't find any low back bra's in my size that aren't £70 plus!

6 months today for me!

I orderd my tiara this morning, I think we have found a bridesmaid dress... I just need SIL to try it on to see if it's long enough for her.

We have also now decided to pursue buying a house! We have a meeting with the broker on Saturday to apply for the mortgage, and we would be looking at moving in February or March once the house is built. Just to add more to our stress

ETA It's not support underwear but M&S have a lovely cream set that I think I'm going to get... I don't need a bra as my dress has a corset built in underneath but it is lovely

I notice that yesterday was the one-year mark for a load of you - time is quickly running away from us...

I'm steadily getting my mojo back. Last weekend was good for me, went on a girlie shopping trip with mum, MIL and SIL and got my dress! It cost more than I wanted it to (Mum was always going to buy it for me, but I really didn't want her to have to spend a huge amount), but boy, the girls have the art of emotional blackmail down to a T! I had all sorts - "buying this dress for you is the only thing that will make me happy" and my MIL + SIL - "we've come all this way to see you buy it" etc. I caved, went back to the shop and Mum signed on the dotted line.

My OH and I are away for the weekend in Wales and then plan on spending next weekend going through a load of wedding stuff and getting things organised. I'll feel much better once a few more things are ticked off the list!

My wedding is 16th April and cant believe I hit the 9 month mark yesterday. Where has this year gone?

I have booked church, venue, photographer and bought my dress. I am currently trying to organise my bridemaids to go dress shopping as well as booking my honeymoon.

My H2B and I being creative and making some stuff ourselves so we are startig with our DIY bits tomorrow

ive also got two wedding cake appointments booked in, my band provisionally booked (they booked up until september already!!!) a second wedding dress shopping trip and a show round at my reception venue all within the next two months. its all getting very busy all of a sudden!

They're amazing, so cute. I'm still trying to decide if I need to do these as I'm just having my sisters and they've already been asked when I got engaged (over a year ago)... I think it would be a nice way to make them feel more appreciated though, what do you girls think?

Also I'm definitely doing something for the flowergirls and ringbearer (again, to make them feel more involved as they're in Australia), would it be double standards not to do something for BMs?

I'm doing another one for my half sister who will be my flower girl (she'll only be 2 when i get married though) so maybe you should so they dont feel left out, but then again if they asked they surely they already know lol!

I don't think it's double standards to do something for the smaller ones, it will get them more involved and excited whereas I can imagine your sisters are already involved.

We are just about to pay the deposits for our photographers and car, so exciting! Time seems to be running away from me!

We are planning on DIYing our stationery (save the dates, invites etc), when do you think we need to start making? Our wedding is 3rd June...
