It's nuts! We spoke to loads of photographers who didn't have any Saturdays in 2017 left! People are so organised! I'm a little jealous of people who are that organised haha!

I meant I am getting married the same day as you :-) We booked our videographer last September. I thought we were too early but I'm glad we booked now! Good luck finding your photographer. To think that everyone is booked 15 months in advance is mad! X

I haven't posted in a while, I lost my wedding zing for a while but it's come back with full force now!

Currently on the hunt for an awesome DJ. We don't want your typical run of the mill karaoke style DJ. We both love our music, especially oh, and a DJ is the main entertainment for the reception. However I'm struggling to justify the £800 quotes I'm getting ?

Has anyone picked their first dance song? I think we have. Initially we were gonna go with Tom Jones - Till but bave changed our minds now and going with Elvis - The Wonder Of You!

Can I join the gang? Just booked sat 18th March 2017!! Feels real now eeeekkkk ?

Have you booked a venue yet?

I am. But havent gone for a venue up here, instead in Stratford upon Avon near my parents. There's so much choice venue wise its been a nightmare to choose. How about you 2BMrsC?

Gosh that's organised haha! We have booked a band. I've got a thing about live music so we are going with a band who's done some family stuff for in the past. We know they're good and people will get up and dance to them. We were talking about the first dance yesterday. We have really different music tastes so we are going to struggle! I love the Elvis song - might start playing that when he's sleeping and see if I can influence him haha!

We both have such different tastes in music but we both love Elvis so it was a no brainier for us!!

Oh. And we just booked our Honeymoon!!! Mexico here we come!!

much like you I'd lost my wedding zing a little over the past couple of months, but we have been in the middle of a house move so I can kind of forgive myself! I'm now very excited as we paid the deposit on our wedding venue to secure it for the day we wanted so I'm really pleased that's done!! Can now focus on the fun stuff like decorations woop!

Re: DJ - have you tried WDC entertainment? My sister in law to be in the accounts manager but I know first hand that Dom, the lead DJ is excellent - just check out their Facebook page/website! We're having them for ours...music is so important

MrsQ We booked with First Choice (think they're sister company to Thompson!) We are staying going to the Hideaway At Royalton Riviera Cancun in the Riviera Maya resort, about half an hour from Cancun. The hideaway is a separate part of the hotel which is adult only but you have full access to the whole hotel! We are going for 10 nights as we have 2 little kids and having to rely on our families to have them whilst we are away x

We get married May 13th '17 and are pretty organised as we have been planning since last July! (when I say 'we'.... read that as ME!!) It seemed at the time that we had 'years' to get everything organised but I'm so glad I insisted on cracking on as suddenly it's just over a year and time is flying!

So far we have booked our venue, The Batch in Lympsham where we will get married and have our reception and evening party, booked our TOG, VOG, and DJ, I've provisionally booked my hair dresser, bought my dress and my ring, had a chat with a cake maker and decided on her, chosen our menu, finalised our guest list and organised our table plan (assuming all those invited come!) and decided on H2B's ring and suit and enrolled my MOH!

I've also made a good start on all the crazy DIY projects I decided I wanted to do.... flowers for 'aisle' decoration, save the dates, invites, RSVP's, 'wedding information signs', a wish tree and tags, table names, place cards... the list seems to go on and on and I keep adding to it!

In fact I probably should be 'doing' or 'making' something right now instead of browsing Hitched!!

I cannot imagine how much more difficult it must be to organise a Wedding 'away from home' be it within the UK or abroad! Stratford upon Avon is lovely though- we spent a (very cold!) weekend there when we first got together and loved it! ?

I am getting married on 7th September 2017 and wondered if it's too early to start looking at dresses? I don't need to lose weight and my dress size doesn't fluctuate so maybe it's a case of what's in fashion/if it goes out of fashion. What are people's thoughts?

I bought mine last November lol still hasn't arrived in the store, so I wouldn't leave it too much longer to start looking at least

Oh my gosh - I've been dying to post in here for so long, we haven't booked our venue yet as we cant afford to until the end of May, but we've reserved the 2nd November 2017 and I just cant wait to post in here any longer! I didn't want to say anything in case anyone else wants the same date at the same venue and they can pay sooner but ahh i'm too excited!!!

Nope not too early! Im trying on dresses mid June. Mind you, I still have weight to loose and 2 holidays to go on!!!

Yay I've finally found and booked a photographer!!! It's only taken about 4 months, but I'm so glad to have that all sorted now. We met with her on Monday and loved her work!!

Next up is the evening entertainment. We prefer a live band rather than a DJ, but again finding it hard to find someone we both like and is within our price range - I'm sure we'll get there with that. I'm not panicking about this as much as I was with the photographer.

We're also researching florist at the mo and trying to work out our budget. Also I'm thinking about what we should have for our centre pieces - we don't want anything to big. Im hoping for something simple with Gerbera's. What is everyone else doing for centre pieces?

In June I'm hoping to get my dress sorted. Back in early March I unintentionally tried on a couple of dresses upon browsing a bridal shop and the lady in the shop persuaded me to try a couple on and the first one I tried on - I loved it!!! It felt like "the one!". And amazingly it was a dress I had seen online and really like it!! Really hoping I still feel the same - which I'm sure I will. I still get that feeling when I think back how I looked in the dress!! So excited!!

Hi ladies, haven't been on for a while but can see you are all flying through with you plans. I came to a bit of a standstill but now back in full swing? Have a florist appointment this weekend, was going to go with artificial to save some money but the real thing is calling me. I love fresh flowers.

Am struggling with the decoration of my wedding favours. I have opted for everyone's favourite tipple but have now realised because they are all different sizes it's quite difficult to make them look pretty on the table ? Any ideas would be most welcome.

other than that just my dress and bridesmaids dresses left to do and the mamouth DIY project that is the invitations.

We're getting married on 17th March 2017 and I think I'm very organised!!

I've got my dress and the bridesmaid dresses!I bought all these with an expected due date of August but they all arrived way earlier than thought!

The only thing we really need to sort out is the invitations. We have decided to make them ourselves. We are going to send them out probably start of december as venue needs numbers by first week in Feb. My thinking for the early delivery is the festive period and if we have any apologies, then we can see about maybe inviting people from work etc. I also need to get my shoes. I've fallen for a pair of Plain ivory Jimmy Choos and for once, my mother is saying to buy them! She almost killed me when she found out I paid £300 for my Louboutins..... ps they were almost double that, but.... she doesnt know

We were on a cruise 2 weeks ago and my H2B fell in love with it, so we booked another one for our honeymoon!!

We were gonna do a cruise for our honeymoon but decided to go to Mexico instead! My mum and step dad live for cruises! Hence why we were gonna give one a go. They are actually cruising right now, up the west coast of Africa on the last leg of the world cruise!

A year today will be wedding eve, eek! Can't believe tomorrow marks the one year countdown - time is flying by x

I've had a lovely evening! Went to an 'accessories evening' at my dress shop- 20% off all accessories, wine and some lovely folks doing hair and make up trials ?

I now appear to have THREE tiaras- one I bought ages ago just after getting engaged, one I bought last week when out with H2B last week (but wasn't 100% sure about) and one I bought tonight... along with a jewellery set for my MOH.

I also had a hair trial (not convinced by that!) and a make up trial.... the make up is fantastic- EXACTLY what I wanted and they did my dear old Mum's whilst we were there too- and she loves hers too... so I guess I WILL be having a MUA despite my 'yes I will, no I won't' indecision up to now ?

I've been looking at ideas for bridesmaid gifts! Was thinking a nice jewellery set, sadly can't wear the necklace on the day because the dress is a one shoulder. Was thinking a personalised compact mirror but not sure.....

I saw one of my bridesmaids tonight and she told me that she's having problems with one of the other BM. Basically they're planning my hen do and I know nothing! Won't know where we're going till I'm at the airport! But she told me that this other BM is making it al about her. When destinations are suggested she keeps saying why she doesn't want to go. When I've spoken to her about favours etc it's always "when xxxxxx got married, they had this" and "oh nice, but xxxxx did that" URGH!!

This morning I've emailed Leicester City to see if I can get a signed card/letter of congrats from the team that I could give to my H2B as a wedding gift. Bit of a long shot but thought I'd ask early!

Next on my list for wedding plans is flowers & bridesmaid dresses, think I'm sorted on suppliers for both just need to secure!
