Aww how lovely, something you will always remember on the back of such a sad time.

Yeah that's what I thought, couple of days after the wedding to get house in order then switch off for 3 weeks! Just wondered if would look unusual only having a day or so around the actual wedding. That said I don't know what's considered the norm (if there is one!). Discussing time off with the boss is next on my list though- can't book anything at all without approval! X

We have just paid our deposit! 16th July 2017.

Venue is an all in one, registrar booked, now looking for photographers and the cake! There is so much choice I have no idea where to start!

Are there any local wedding fayres coming up? We got loads sorted at one out venue put on

We found our photographer by googling "(our venue) photographer" and looking at who came up

Our venue actually has an open day tomorrow which were going to go to, seems like they have a few of the suppliers they like to use there

Then our course there is the national show but September feels too far away in time!

Not too much really, we've been super organised haha

Flowers, Suits and Honeymoon is all that's left I think!

We booked most things at our venues fayre. The national show was good, but I recommend the VIP tickets if you can and get there first thing. We went on the Saturday with normal tickets at lunch ish and Sunday with the VIP tickets first thing and Sunday was so much less stressful! Plus, you can hide out in the VIP lounge when it gets a bit much!!

We haven't started looking at honeymoons yet. We're hoping to use next year's bonus to pay for it so we might need to book a last minute deal. i think we're only going away for a week though - I can't leave behind the wee one for any longer!

How soon do you think I need to see a florist? We haven't got a clue what we want yet though!

You can get great deals last minute! Plus, you get to decide stuff impulsively, which is a lot of fun

We met our Florist at a Wedding Fayre in January, had the first consultation with her in April. Unfortunately had to cut it short as that was the day FFIL collapsed

I think I'll be seeing her again in June maybe? Its seems really far out though... I know someone who left it until 3 months before the Wedding and she was fine. I guess it just depends on your date! Ours is a Bank Holiday weekend so I didn't want to delay.

I need to call and book ours. We can't give notice until 30th May at the earliest ☹️ had the registrar pre-booked since 2014 and this has come around soooo slowly!

We're getting married next June and I only just booked the registrar today! Luckily I phoned when I did because they only had 3 times left but thankfully we still got the time we wanted. Can't wait to give notice now, but need to wait until 24th June to ring.

Good luck with giving notice. We can't give notice until between 1st July and 1st September. I can't even book an appointment online yet grr.

I bought my dress yesterday and I have the bridesmaids dresses too. Haven't done much else besides that. I booked my florist quite early on, back in February this year x

Forgot to say that I had my hair trial on Saturday! I was going to a family party, so I thought why not

Not my Bridal headpiece, just one I have that I like thought it came out well, although my hair no longer matches my extensions. Whilst you can't see it here, it'd be really noticeable in the sun so I'm going to have my hair coloured. My grey hairs are annoying me anyway

Hair looks lovely Steph. I had a kind of trial on Saturday too as I was going to a wedding so I got my hairdresser to out it up. I really liked it so I have booked with her now to do our hair for the wedding.

Can't do your notice appointment online? As long as our appointment date was less than a year away from the wedding, it let me book it. Where are you getting married? I'm in Essex X

Managed to get out of work a little early so got home in time to call. Appointment booked for Saturday 18th May! Robbing gets charge extra for Saturday appointments though so it's cost me £100 -.-

Good job this thread is here- I provisionally booked the registrar ages ago and had completely forgotten we have to give notice and make the booking formal!

I met with our florist today- she is the recommended one for the venue and was lovely- because she knows the venue so well she was able to make some great suggestions and I'm really happy with her ideas and the quote she gave me ?

Haha we provisionally booked ours in 2014 - I have been waiting FOREVER for it to be time haha

Thank you. I am wondering whether to have my hair down now or half up, half down with the dress I have. Will have a few trials to check as my hairdresser only charges £20 for them.

I went with down because that's how h2b prefers it.

I had a couple of bits put up though so my veil won't fall out!

Up is easier because once it's up, it's up - you don't have to worry about it losing volume etc.

Down is softer and more romantic.

I've been on a few cruises and love it!! Would make every holida a cruise if I could !

What's the verdict between Royal Caribbean & Norweigan Cruise Line for those cruising on honeymoon?! So much choice!!

Meh! Sent out our save the dates a few days ago and have just heard from a friend who I really wanted to be there that she and her partner probably won't make it- it's his Mum's 90th birthday so a very good reason but I still feel ridiculously deflated that they won't make it...and I suspect as they aren't coming some other friends won't either.

I get married a year today!!!

I think I still have lots to do but certain things I rushed into doing at the beginning so I am holding back on things a bit so I don't pick things I later change my mind over such as BM dresses and invites

I've done both. I didn't really enjpy the Norwegian Gem (ship we went on) I felt RC are more "fun" and felt that NCL more appealed to the "mature" passengers. There wasn't much "fun" things to do like RC offer.

We have booked to go on RC for our honeymoon. We were on the Oasis of the Seas in April and it was simply amazing! That was my third RC cruise.
