These honeymoons sound amazing!

We booked ours a couple of weeks ago. 10nights in Mexico, 5star hotel and premium economy flights! Would of loved to do longer but we have two young kids.

Ive also ordered my invite materials tonight, I'm so excited about making them!

All these honeymoons sound fab, I'm very jealous. My OH doesn't do flying and coupled with him not wanting to spend too long away from his kids, we will be having a few days away in this country - with our dogs!

ive been looking at invites too and have narrowed it down. Surprisingly my OH and I agreed on the style, I thought they would be too girly for him but hurrah that they aren't!

Has anyone else sent save the dates to people that they aren't that bothered about inviting now?

I can highly recommend a USA driving honeymoon! I have done this before as a holiday with friends and it was epic. San Fransisco and the Grand Canyon were my faves.

We are thinking of going to Mexico for our honeymoon. My dad is giving us 10K which we were going to use for the honeymoon. I priced up a Sandals holiday to the Bahamas and it was coming in at 11K. The Mexico honeymoon is coming in at 4.5K. We have decided that we would rather go to Mexico and then use the leftover money to go on safari to South Africa the following year (which is what we originally wanted to do but we're getting married at the wrong time of the year for this kind of trip).

My mums just pointed out that I've had the honeymoon quoted as leaving from London the morning after the wedding!

Called up and they've changed the flights to the next day and I've asked that we shorten the honeymoon by one day to accommodate, which saves us around £400 would you believe it?!

That's hell of a saving!

We we get married on the Saturday and then fly Friday morning. As its an early morning flight we will probably travel to gatwick the night before and stay over as we live in Devon. Plus it gives us enough time to settle and pack after the wedding.

Just about out to book our casino tables!

We live in the Midlands so we'll probably spend the Monday night at a cheap hotel at Heathrow - so romantic lol

We're almost a month after our wedding... plenty of time to get back into work and relax after wedding, pack etc and have things done!

Thinking of taking my dress on honeymoon so when we're in NYC, have a nice photoshoot down at times square, but I'm panicing of folk standing on my dress and ruining it. our hotel is in TSq, so maybe just stick to the terrace over looking TSq..... thoughts?????

Great idea! I'm sure people wouldn't tread on it. People have eyes!

Are you having a bustle? That might keep your dress a little smaller

Yeah I will, I just worry when I'm having our photos taken and someone stands on it haha!!!

We're going on a cruise after NYC, so gunna get a photo at sunset on top deck at the back of the ship, and some more dotted around. If people ask if we got married on the ship or tin NYC i'll probably lie and say yeah hehe!!! that bad?

I'm quite nervous of doing it, as don't want folk staring! will feel stupid.....

They're more likely to take photos of you as well rather than stand on it I think!

Were you going to hire a professional tog in NY? If you do, they can probably do crowd control!

I love that you're touring your dress! People will stare, but in a good way! If you get flack, tell them it's for a competition or something

My dress is coming on tour with me too, H2B isn't keen on the idea but has agreed. He doesn't want people staring and also thinks that it is a waste of time but I think where we are going the views that we could get will create priceless photos to cherish forever. This is top secret though and I think our families will be stunned at the pics when we surprise them with them. Times square will be amazing! How are you doing it? We are most likely just going to pay for an extra bag for the camera tripod and our wedding attire, bring a decent camera with a timer on it and just find a quiet spot, change into our clothes and strike a pose haha!

Topped off by a week in the adults only Secrets Maroma beach resort with a "swim-out" room.

We were planning on doing it 100% DIY but went to trailfinders for a sneaky tips consultation and came out thinking they may actually be cheaper as they get such good discounts and free upgrades etc. So we will get pricings both ways and go with the cheapest way to do it.

I'm not entirely sure yet. My brother is a musician who travels the world. He has photographer friends everywhere and he thinks the photographer whos doing our wedding will be in NYC that time we are, if not he will ask around and get a recommendation for us that way

I just dont want random folk staring or taking pictures of me when it's essentially my moment with my husband. I'd just love to have amazing wedding photos, ones that we can look back on when we're old, wrinkly and hooked up to catheters and say "aahh, NYC, amazing time"

Another question.... what are you all doing with your engagement ring on the day? I thought you went down the aisle with a bare finder? I cant put my ring on another finger as it doesnt fit, so was gunna leave it with my mum in it's box??

Mine fits on my RH ring finger, so I was going to wear it on that hand.

Oh gosh I hadn't even considered this, I was just going to wear it like I do now. Just checked and it doesn't fit on my RH finger, how odd!

Yes, I think the idea is to wear it on the RH but mine doesn't fit on the RH either so I don't know what to do either ☹️ don't really want to leave it lying about somewhere and I'd be unlikely to find someone to wear it for me as I have smaller fingers than all the people I'd trust to do this! As you said, maybe keep it in its box with someone.

On another note, has anyone seen a bit before you log in about putting your OH's name? I have clicked on it and can't see where to update it.

After advice from other brides on here, I started trying on wedding dresses last week and have my next batch of appointments on June 18th! Hoping to have a decision by the end of that day. I have gone to a town that has five or six bridal shops so lots of choice. It gets a bit real when you see yourself in a wedding dress!

Mine doesn't fit on my RH either so I'll be putting mine in a box & my MOH will be looking after it.

Add me to the list of USA honeymooners! We will probably do a mini-moon for the weekend of the wedding (getting married on the Friday) and we will then book the honeymoon for the summer holidays - it was our only option if we wanted a honeymoon without taking our daughter. We want to do New York and the West Coast and we thought Vegas with a 2 year old just wouldn't be the same!

We're thinking of having a honeymoon shoot in Japan, possibly in kimono, but it would be incredibly hot so we're still debating that.

I'm having a right mare with dreams at the mo! 3 times this week I've dreamt I've forgotten to do any planning and the big day has arrived or it's the actual day & im running incredibly late - never been so relieved to wake up & realise I still have 10+ months to go!!!

Just spent two hours with the travel agent discussing the honeymoon! So excited - can't wait to see what they come up with!
