Oh Wedding dreams are the worst! I've been ill the last couple of days and I've been having really weird Wedding Dreams, although I can't remember them now!

Really good thanks Steph. We are going to Mexico. We were thinking of the Bahamas but OH hates sitting around so we decided that Mexico would be much better as there is lots to do. It also works out about 5K cheaper! I can't wait! X

LA, Maui (Hawaii) and San Francisco. Going to call the travel agent and confirm on Monday really excited. We've always wanted to go to Hawaii and thought we might as well break up the flights with a couple of days in the USA

Okay well! After having to change the date because of work (pssshtt!) we've finally officially put a deposit down on the 23rd November 2017! Yay!

Your chat about honeymoons is making me sad. We aren't booking ours yet. We have to wait until his bonus comes in next year and see what we can afford. I'm trying to save money just now for it but we've just bought our first house and I can't stop buying house stuff haha!

We will probably try and book a last minute deal somewhere. I really fancy Greece or Italy. Somewhere hot and without children haha!

Hehe buying house stuff is fun! Although my Credit Card has never quite recovered lol

The house is more important and more lasting than the Honeymoon anyway, so it should be your priority

Guys, help me out with my hair, please! I'm wearing Ettia by Maggie Sottero, and planning to have my hair in a side gatsby bun. I definitely don't want a tiara, so I was thinking of just getting some of those sparkly pins to put into the bun but not sure if it might look too plain? What do you think?

Veil or no veil?

I think it *could* look a bit plain if there's nothing else in your hair.

How about some flowers or a hair comb to jazz it up?

Definitely no veil. The dress is covered in elaborate beading, so I'm trying to keep everything else simple.

If the dress is already pretty jazzy, I think you could get away with just the hair pins

Your dress is gorgeous! I think you will be fine with the pins though. The dress is so detailed and sparkly that anything else in your hair might look too much.

When you go to your next fitting you could put your hair into a side bun with some pins in it to get an idea if you like it or not? It might be easier to see with the dress?

Also when I looked up your dress most of the brides had something simple - and they all looked great!

Bit of a pointless post but I just had a phonecall from the Bridal store and my Dress arrived today!!

I'm so excited - I want to leave work right now and go see it haha

I'm also nervous because I haven't seen it since November!!

I know! Mum is taking it home tonight and making my Dad build the wardrobe in the Guest room specifically for it. Such a spoiled dress haha

She said if I'm lucky I can try it on on Sunday with my shoes etc I just want to try it on one more time and get some pics of me in it. I don't even care if it zips up or not haha

How exciting! I've not even tried any on and I get married in just over a year!! Going shopping on the 18th, I'm dreading it though. I haven't lost any weight and I can't help but think I'm gonna look like such a lump ?

I had a quote from a florist today, honestly was not expecting it to be so high, but others seem to think it's reasonable - see other post!!

I doubt you'll look like a lump! It might be the kick up the arse you need though. I enjoyed looking for dresses, even though I was 2 stone more than my 'ideal' weight (still am lol) and my dress coming in has reminded me how nice it felt to be thin

I haven't had a full quote from the florist yet, but mine will probably cost a fortune too haha

i saw your florist quote, I think it is probably average for what you want. Maybe you could have less roses and mix in some other seasonal (or cheaper!) flowers?

Exciting time Stephisaur! My first dress shopping session is next Saturday & I am nervous / excited! I've lost a stone so far but still got some more I want to lose, so it could be emotional for all the wrong reasons! ?

Having a good wedding week here - just booked a videographer (that we'd convinced ourselves a few weeks ago we didn't need!), but he's doing a great offer at the moment & H2B is happy to do a couple of extra overtime shifts to pay for it so we've taken the plunge. Also confirming our caterers this week too so all the big things are now booked & deposits paid.

Next week we're going to visit the venue again, a year until we get married & they'll have the marquee up for this year's weddings, so it'll be interesting to see more than a very empty garden, which is what we saw in Feb before we booked!

Yay! I love venue visits - we visited ours a year out too and it looked gorgeous compared to seeing it in the dead of winter! Haha

Exciting that you've booked the vog - I'm sure you won't regret it! I think they're worth it for the ceremony and speeches alone

Enjoy your dress shopping! Honestly, once you put the dresses on you'll forget that you aren't your ideal weight. They fit so much differently to regular clothes - they're sooo highly constructed that I think the right one could make a troll look glowing!

I'm so excited to see the venue again, the lady who owns the house is an amazing gardener & it should all be in bloom now & looking pretty similar to how it'll look next year.

Yeah the VOG is a big weight off my mind now we've made the decision to have one - & for £650 he's providing two cameramen, a 7-9 minute highlight video, all raw footage & edits of the ceremony & speech, so not like we're forking out a huge amount for it.

One of my BMs came round last night & I started to get a bit more excited about dress shopping next weekend - she tried her dress on too which is a bit small but she's going to use it as inspiration & we've got a year so both pretty chilled about that.

We've got a wedding to go to tomorrow, & then in terms of attending weddings, the next one will be ours! Eeek!
