Sounds like an amazing Honeymoon!

I spoke to our Honeymoon lady today - we'll now be flying with Virgin which is quite exciting and we're flying Premium Economy. She's secured us 2 seats on their own for every flight

Seeing the florist to pay a deposit on Wednesday so not much left to do now

I found my dress! And bought it, & it's at my sister's house - woo hoo! I went to shop in Newmarket at the weekend (last minute change of plan instead of the shop in London I was supposed to be going to), tried on quite a few tea length dresses that I'd specifically gone to see, & then had a quick look on the longer dresses rail, & fell in love with the second one I tried on!

I want to put a photo on here that I've hosted on Photobucket but it's stretching it all wide - the dress on the designer's website also looks nothing like the one I've bought! ?

But the good news is that as the one in the shop fitted me, I bought that exact one for £595 instead of £1095, & it was also considerably cheaper than the other one I'd fallen in love with the week before. Hurrah!

Also think we've decided on a honeymoon - transatlantic crossing on the QM2 & then a week in New York at the end of November next year! ?

Ah thank you ladies, that's really kind - still got 9-10 months to lose some more lbs but my friend is going to do the alterations so hopefully it'll look good on the day! Can't believe I found a dress for under £600 either when I was thinking of spending that much on a high street one!

Love that fabric chapples! one thing to be careful of now though . . . . i saw a gorgeous dress in the debenhams sale, tried it on, lvoed it, and was on the verge of buying it - when my friend pointed out that the lace overlay was very similar to my wedding dress. whenever i go clothes shopping now i'm zeroing in on stuff that looks like my wedding dress! looks like i'd better stop shopping till after the wedding.

Garlands to decorate the Lake House (Ceremony Structure)

Wicker Hearts (honestly don't even remember where these are going)

8 x Centrepiece arrangements (we are providing the glasses)

2 x Mum bouquets as a thank you.

Seeing as I was quoted £1100 for my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, 15 buttonholes and 12 centrepieces, yours sounds like a bargain!!!

Went to give notice today. But h2b didn't have the right birth certificate. FML. It's been one of those days!

That sounds like a good deal Steph. My flowers are £1480. That's for my bouquet, four bridesmaid bouquets, one flower girl wand, six button holes for the men, three buttons holes for mums, buttonhole for the page boy, flowers for the cake, a flower arch on the marble gazebo, rose petals along either side of the aisle, ten centrepieces with the vases included, a long floral top table arrangement. I did have a quote that was about £250 cheaper but I preferred my florist as she knows the venue and is really enthusiastic about the wedding. I'm really happy with my quote as I expected it to be about two grand!!!

We are giving notice on 23rd August. We haven't been told what we need to bring though. Does anyone know? X

When we gave notice, we just needed proof of ID and proof of address so we took our Driving Licenses, a copy of our Council Tax bill and a copy of a utility bill just to be safe

We took passport (for ID), driving licence (for address), & OH had to take his divorce certificate!

Thanks ladies. I am going to take my passport as proof of ID, driving licence as proof of address and I'll bring a bank statement just in case! X

Met with our florist and got prices back, lovely lady and does most of the weddings at our venue, very happy with prices under what I expected:

x5 Bridesmaids bouquets

x1 Bridal Bouquet

x8 Table decorations

x8 Buttonholes

x3 Corsages

Outside hanging lanterns and all on the roof of venue

Bows on the seats

And a few other room decorations

All for £650

I've been avoiding the florist so far. I want those trees with the flowers in them (do you know what I mean) but I can't find anywhere that hires them out. Any ideas? Anywhere in Scotland would be fab!

We are DIYing broach bouquets so all we need other than that is something for the top table and button holes. Depending how easy it is to get the trees will dictate how much extra we can spend.

My florist hires them (£25! Bargain) but as we're in the Midlands, it probably doesn't help hahaha

I would just start asking around florists. Nobody we've spoken too has been pushy, and we weren't sure on a budget for the flowers when we started asking
