It's 6 months exactly for us tomorrow. Our invitations arrived today and I'm really pleased with them. Just tried to put a photo up but I can't do it.

MrsQtobe, I think you have the right attitude. Just let her do her own thing and don't let it bother you or ruin your day. She will be the one missing out on all the fun, not you.

I feel your pain with your bridesmaid MrsQ2B one of mine is the same, she just ignores the messages in the group chat. I asked her for her sizes for bridesmaids dress and she said 14 (refused to measure herself though), and then when those dresses fell through I asked again for new ones. In the meantime she'd told me she'd lost a lot of weight, and as she'd not replied for 2 weeks I had to order the dresses so took a guess and ordered her a 12. When she finally came back to me she said get her a 14 due to the weight loss - I was so confused! Doesn't help that she's living in Ireland so not sure when she can try it on. It's all fun and games

Hi all! 5 months tomorrow for me, eek!!

It's been a little while since I posted, not sure where the time is going. Feel like everything is coming together slowly but surely and just hoping we haven't missed anything else... Still time if we have though We are meeting with our venue on Saturday and the vicar on Monday so all the finer details will start falling into place I hope!

Just waiting on our evening invites to arrive and going to start distributing! Semding day/evening invites out at the same time to avoid people thinking they haven't got an invite at all!

Hope everyone else's big days are coming together as planned!

Oh wow! Surely if she disliked them so much she could have said thanks but no thanks when you asked her to be a bridesmaid in the first place. People really do confuse and annoy me. x

MrsW2017 - sorry only just saw your post. In m eyes they are sorted, she'll have to make it fit or won't be a bridesmaid. I am aware that sounds rather like a brideszilla and I don't mean it to, but I have a dress and shoes sat there and she has just informed us she's not coming over at Christmas as she wants tot stay with her BF in Ireland so... Oh well it'll be reet

We have 213 days left. When we booked it we had like 500 odd days and it felt like ages but I'm surprised how quickly it's going by!

We still have to

• buy wedding rings (OH doesn't want one but I think he'll regret it so it's a bit of a fight)
• sort venue decorator (we're not having a florist and this has been a bit of a saga but we are seeing them in the new year)
• finalise rooming list and let people book their accommodation
• table decorations - I know what I'm doing I just need to buy them
• favours - we aren't doing favours but we're doing a charity donation and we just need to pick who
• invitations - I sent save the dates and there are matching invitations but I don't know if I want to use them so I need to pick invitations, order them and send them
• buy flower girl dress - we have to wait until nearer the time in case she grows though
• gifts for everyone - I have no idea what on earth to buy any one!
• wedding registry - we are going to register for a small gift list and we need to sort that

Aw man we have so much to do when it's written down like this! I've got a list at home but it just grows and grows!

I've already started ticking things off thankfully. It feels like ages away but I bet after Christmas it will take no time at all!

We're not having a florist - I have terrible hayfever! We booked a venue dresser who we booked in principal then they decided to stop trading at the end of this year and we weren't a booking they had to honour. We tried to book someone else and they gave the impression they were holding our date but they gave it away without checking with us. Thankfully we have someone else and we are meeting them in January to get everything sorted out. Aw that's a great charity idea - it's really personal to you guys. We want to do something for a charity that means something to us but the only ones I can think of are about sexual assault survivors and that's a bit grim on the wedding day! We will sort something though!

We also get really bad hayfever but we're getting married outside as it is, so what's a few more flowers? Lol

Mine is mainly a grass allergy though, so I just need to OD on antihistemines in the lead up to the Wedding and on the day and I should be fine.

The days are running away - my veil arrived last week and my mum picked it up yesterday:

All our invites are pretty much written or sent now - scary how quickly it's coming around!! Once Christmas has passed it'll soon be here, eek!

Congratulations! The same happened to us! I'm 31 weeks now and baby will be about 4 months old at the time of our wedding. 2017 is going to be a good year albeit a busy one hehe. Planning a baby and a wedding makes the time fly by too. How far gone are you at the moment? xx

I can't believe I am actually saying I'm getting married this year!! Some of us have been waiting for so long but this is our year ladies xx

I know right? Our venue has been booked since 2014 and we've been engaged since 2015!

We have been engaged since 29/12/2011! We have just had so much go on that now is our time.

So how is everything going with your plans, what have you booked?

We've sorted all the big things; venues, transport, suits, dress, hair and MUA, photographers, band, entertainment, BM dresses and accessories. Invitations are the next on my list (when I can pin in the OH down) and then rings. How about you? x

Have got a good few things crossed off the list this year - ordered our guest book & cake topper, & written all our day invites today - will do the evening invites at the weekend. Feeling quite organised but can't believe it's only just over 5 months away - time is flying!
