Im getting married in 2017!!! 26th august to be exact!!

so excited been with may partner for 10 years, about time we tied the knot.x

So happy to find this thread we are getting married 20/5/17. Everyone i say that to looks at like im mad for starting my planning now x

We haven't technically booked it but have reserved the date of 2nd September 2017 for our wedding at our favourite venue so far,, one or two more venues to look at then it's make our mind up time. Very excited!!!!

Hi, lots more brides here now! Ive had a break from planning and just been saving and quietly paying venue monthly. We have some saved now so starting to think about getting into it again. Next biggy for us is caterers so will need to think about the food we want and book with both caterers to discuss what they can offer and prices. still really relaxed about it at the mo, still been 2yrs away (we're June) anyone else thinking about booking anything yet?

Hi I've been looking at venues, colour schemes and seem some bits we may want... As well as booking on a couple of wedding fairs.... But is it too early to start booking and buying things as I'm thinking of spreading it out so we don't feel the pinch as much. I'm just worried I'm getting too carried away my OH isn't showing much interest either. Should I just leave it for now?

i say it's never too early lol. I have booked my venue, catering, photographer, registrar, photo booth just to name a few..

everyone is different but doesn't hurt to be organised in my opinion

Thank you.... I was getting worried that I was getting ahead of myself.... It doesn't help with the OH not being too interested at the moment. But it was his idea in the first place ha ha!!

We've booked:

Venue

Registrar

Photographer

DJ

Florist (provisionally)

and I've made a start on designing & making the decorations. We've also bought the invitations.

That's men for you lol Took my oh a while to get in the swing of it but when I started paying out for things he soon became interested lol

The way I see it get as much done as possible now then you can relax and enjoy making the final touches and dress shopping ?

We have booked our venue and registrar for Friday 31 March 2017, so excited! DJ is included in our package, so im thinking of booking photographer and cars next ! X

Finally the OH has spoken.... We are going looking at venues and going to a couple of wedding fairs....he's even finally decided on a date we're doing it on the 24th June 2017. It feels good that we can get things going properly and it's not just me who's looking for stuff. ?

Never too early in my opinion? We've booked venue, videographer and photographer. Have chosen a DJ but am yet to book and we also need to hurry up and book registrar.
