Right, so far we have church, reception venue, bank/dj booked. Transport being booked and paid for today, flowers to be sorted tomorrow, cake maker is emailing me later to arrange a tasting. Dress appointment booked for the 4th February but will be popping into a couple of places beforehand to have a nosey Bridesmaids dress is picked but just need to buy once i have their sizes! Will upload photos later.

I am far behind but hoping the big things will be sorted by the end of the week!

MrsQ your bridesmaid sounds like a riot! I hope the dress doesn't fit and she resigns. It might be uncomfortable at the time but at least she'd be gone!

I feel your pain though, it's the inlaws that are causing problems for us. They've known for ages the plan was to stay in the venue the night of and the night before but suddenly it's too expensive or they just don't want to do it. It doesn't bother me but my OH is disappointed they won't make the effort. We've offered to pay for those who are finding it expensive but even then they just don't want to do it. It's a shame. They've known the plans for 8 months and they've still got 5 and a half months to get it sorted but they're just not interested.

And they'll be the first to moan that my family are taking over or getting too much attention paid to them! Sometimes I wish we'd just eloped haha!

Just checking in again as I've had a bit of a wedding planning break - few housey things going on last couple months and Christmas etc. Back to it now though as 9.5 months left (that sounds scary.....eek!). So far we have venue, registrar, photographer and caterer booked...

- florist - saw a lady on Sat so just waiting for her quote - feeling positive about her - and I'm hoping to speak to one or two more this week

- cake - just had a chat with a lady this morning who is the venue's recommended list (and now my mouth is watering!) so waiting on her quote - and will get the opportunity to taste her goods at a showcase our venue is hosting next month so we can 'try before we buy'. Chatting to another one too so have options

- invites - had some samples sent through so looking at costings and hopefully a decision made this week

- honeymoon - this is my OH's list of jobs. She tells me she wants to book it by end Jan so she needs to get a wriggle on with options! lol

- music - we're looking at options at the moment. I'm (mildly) panicking that we haven't booked this yet but I'm hopeful we'll find what we want.

- outfits - I have an appt on Sat at my 2nd bridal store, and an appt for my 2 BM's too. I'm hopeful! OH is getting in touch with tailors as she would like a suit made. Not sure what best man will be wearing yet.

- videographer - looking at options our photographer has sent across

Sounds like we're all getting on well ladies!

We sorted the suits out on Saturday so that is a LOAD off my mind! Took an hour and a half but we got there in the end lol

I emailed our pianist, DJ and makeup artist today to check in with them.

We need to sort a few of our DIY bits out so we're slowly sorting supplies for that...

I just need to chase a few RSVPs at the minute, that's my big "thing" right now

I'm getting married on 17th October this year.

I felt like I had soooo long to arrange everything out and now it's 9 months today and standholders at wedding fayres are saying things to me like -ooohh you haven't got long! AHHHH

I should probably arrange some stuff.

Make sure you double check your essential photo list! We did ours the other night, loads of detail thinking of what would be great photos and who we'd like in group shots. We forgot our son.

This is not the first time Ive forgotten him in wedding planning.

5 months today for us - WTF?! Work has been so busy since the new year I don't really know if I'm coming or going!

I had the most productive weekend of my life I think - bought all the prosecco, planned out centrepieces and everything else with the florist, got my veil and tiara and got a bargain dress for my little bridesmaid. The list finally got a bit shorter!

Today's panic: confetti ???

I keep forgetting that he'll be there the night before, I keep forgetting about getting him a suit. Awful mother!

I'm having an awful time trying to arrange my hair trial and just cannot match a time with my hairdresser. It's causing me so much stress at the minute.

Less than four months for me now (HOW???!!!) and panic has properly set in!

Despite thinking I was terribly organised, I discovered on the day I was due to send my invites out that I had underestimated the number of evening invites I need by 20- given that I have printed and hand stamped every one and they take an hour each (at least) to make, I really should be making some now.... ooops!

I've also started having sleepless nights and wedding nightmares- seems every night for the last week I've either been wide awake writing lists on my phone or waking up in a cold sweat having had a night mare that has led to an 'oh my god I forgot....' moment ?

I'm sure it will all come together but right now I'm not entirely sure how ?

Everyone sounds like they are getting on well with their plans. It is getting so close now! our invites have gone out this last week and we've had a couple of rsvps back already and a couple of others have said they've booked their hotel room. Has anyone else been secretly hoping that certain people they've invited won't come? I know it sounds crazy inviting people you arent fussed if they are there but we'd sent STDs so felt we couldn't not send them an invite even though we've not heard from them since.

I've also booked in my hair and make up trial today which I'm really looking forward to but it's not till 18th March. This weekend I need to print off the evening invites so they can go out and I am constantly shopping for all the little things I want to buy, I have so many tabs open on the iPad! Just waiting for my new credit card to come through and I'm going to go crazy!!

Haha Slink that made me chuckle! Our daughter's 6 and she's terrified we're going to forget her. We were having a wedding chat with my parents last weekend to try and figure out who could stay where on the night of the wedding and she started bawling because she didn't get to stay haha! She's also worried I'll forget to feed her!!

OMG as if we get married 1 month today. I can't believe it's nearly here. I have been really calm until the last week then it has hit me and I have been so stressed. I'm sure I've forgotten something and am panicking that things won't look right together.

I'm the stage where I'll be glad when it's all over. Anyone else feel like this? Just panicking that it's not normal

I can't wait for the planning to be done! It's worse now I'm thinking of the little things rather than the big things!

We need to book hour honeymoon and don't know where we're going. I've got the passport forms for us all though which I see as a step in the right direction, although I could have done without renewing both passports at the same time. I've emailed the registrar to see if they'll fill the form in I need to get it in my new name.

I've finally sorted out the hair and makeup trial! It took so long to find a date that suited. I'm now onto looking at what style I want which is much more fun.

Few more things sorted; favours are chosen just need to make them look pretty. Any ideas what to do with Hot wheels cars? Booked pre-wedding photo shoot, booked gift list appt at John Lewis, invitations signed off just waiting for pricing for printing. Hair and make-up trial almost booked - she's not really responding which is very annoying. Also booked for new best man to get measured for suit.

It's coming together slowly but surely.

No not really, had a nightmare trying to get the bridesmaid dresses altered but that's sorted now.

We just need to send photo list to the photographer, pay florists, I need to book some beauty treatments for a couple of days before wedding and to confirm with all suppliers that's if no more problems arise.

1st May 2017 for me

I booked my hen do this weekend. Lovely relaxing spa weekend has been booked. Took so long since so many places were fully booked. Should really have arranged this months ago.

We're also booking our honeymoon this week and having two weeks in Feutuventura. My mother in law to be has also offered to babysit one weekend for us so we can have a long weekend by ourselves.

I got an invitation to my Hen Party today - it's been planned for me so was a total surprise

Had an email from the venue coordinator about a final meeting, which is fine but my mum is driving me nuts over it.

Considering that she wanted to "reduce the stress" nearer the Wedding for me, she seems to be the main cause.

Oh no Stephisaur - what's up with her? Sometimes it'd be nice to be able to issue a yellow card system to families when it comes to weddings wouldn't it! ?

Today's contribution to wedding planning has been ordering gold napkins for dishing out cake! Important.

I got my dress at the weekend! eek I'm so excited they've said it will come in 5-6 months so roll on the summer lol. Had my 2 bridesmaids and mum with me and there were tears from them too ha ha. The 2 BMs tried on some dresses too so I got a good idea of likes/dislikes and will plan a few more trips out with them now.

Also booked our appointment to give notice so that's in the diary, bit annoying that you can only do it during the working week (well in our county anyway) so we've tied it in with a day we've already got booked off so save on the holiday.

got a florist's quote and I queried a couple bits and managed to get the price down to something more reasonable so I think we'll confirm her. Am toying with the idea of getting a quote from someone else- did everyone else see more than 1?? I'm really happy with her work, her receptiveness and her price......

Still looking at invites......we designed one on Vistaprint at the weekend and got one being sent so we can see the quality. Trying to balance it not looking too cheap at the same time as not breaking the bank!!

Got a travel agent working on some honeymoon quotes for us - we've given 5 different options initially so will see what price she comes back with.....

and the budgeting spreadsheet - arghh! working and re-working on that to see if some magic happens and we can squeeze money from somewhere lol!! ?

I didn't get multiple quotes because there's only one person in my area who seems to do flowers like I wanted and her quote was lower than my budget anyway so I just went with it. If I was going down the more traditional florist route I'd get more than one quote just to check on price.

I've today made appointments to go get our rings and OHs suit and I think that's the last of the big things now.

Cake napkins are VERY important

She's just... trying to take over. I'm not the kind of person who deals with stress well, but I also don't like feeling out of control. If we let her "handle" things, we'll end up with god knows what lol

She's supposed to just be doing the 'logistics' side of things now, but thinks that means I don't need to go to the final venue meeting even though I do because they need to know where h2b and I are going to be etc, what we want done with our decorations etc etc.
