They won't be offended - we've been asked to do it for the stuff we're dropping off at the venue the night before so they can set it out correctly

I feel really stressed but I don't know why ☹️

I have this knot of nerves in my stomach, but in reality I know I have no reason to be nervous?

I think (hope!) it's normal Stephisaur. I think it's like when you've been studying for an exam and then it's done but you still have that residual guilt feeling of 'I should be revising'. Now that we are so close most of the jobs are done but we'really so used to thinking of what needs to be done next it's a weird adjustment!

I would recommend doing something nice and chilled with your Friday evening Me and my OH are going for a final date night tonight!

Had our meeting today- all went well and I would have been happy for the 'new' co ordinator to 'do' our day, but the original one offered to swap her weekend off so she can be there... looks like we may end up with both of them now!

I'm glad all has been resolved

We're trying to enjoy this lull haha - we showed my flowergirls what to do today, and yesterday we tidied the house top to bottom ready to go away!

1 week today we'll be married - eek!

Love the pic Steph! We had our preshoot last night it was quite fun. It was nice to get to know our photographer a bit and to know what it will be like on the day definitely recommend!

So I got 'that' message from a relative today. 'Your cousin assumed he was coming, it's in his diary, he'll be very upset if he isn't.' Then followed by 'it's a bit far for him just to come to the evening. There aren't many of our family . . . can't he come anyway?'

I'm touched that my cousin (15 years my senior) cares that much. But other than funerals, I haven't seen him in probably 10 years, and if i take my gran's birthday out of that, more like 20. I've replied firmly that there is no flexibililty on the venue, we'll put him on the reserve list and that he's welcome to the drinks reception straight after. My OH is being very good about it considering he refused to invite any of his aunts/uncles/cousins on the grounds that we didn't really know them. I also refrained from the phrase 'i didn't put it in his bl00dy diary so who did?'

I'm always astounded when I read stuff like this. How is it even possible that someone would think that was ok?! Well done for sticking your ground though. Now my day's just a couple of weeks away I'm more likely to just agree to things to avoid any more arguments or stress!

I'm STILL chasing my hairdresser for timings for Saturday so I can tell people what time to arrive at my house. Apparently she's been busy. Yeah you & me both love!

Boo Chapples, hope she comes good soon. I got my preshoot pictures back last night. I hate them. I do recommend having a preshoot - chatting with the photographer was good, and getting to know the sorts of things he'd be asking was great, and he took amazing pics of my fiance and the dog. But I hate them. I've never been very good at self image, and I wanted to lose weight for the wedding and basically failed. I thought I was okay with that as I was pleased that my fitness levels had improved. I even didn't hate all the pics that were taken at the makeup trial! But these preshoot pics . . . I look horrific. Like the pilsbury dough boys fatter older sister. When I smile, my eyes all but disappear because of the fat. My OH keeps trying to tell me they are great and he genuinely loves them but that makes me feel worse. IF he thinks they look great, then that must be how i actually look. I just don't know how to handle this at all. I'm so scared that I'm going to hate all my wedding pictures and at this stage there is absolutely nothing i can do - the dress is being fitted in the next 4 weeks, the wedding is 8 weeks away. I can't even try and lose some weight to make things look even a little better - not that it would really make that much of a difference. I wanted to lose 5 stone for hte wedding and managed 1. Quite a bit of which has gone back on as I am in a bad place after the loss of my mum. I have all the reasons(excuses) in the world but none of it improves the way i'm going to look.

I'm in the same boat. I've lost some weight and I feel great but I'm not skinny (my size 6 sister in her bridesmaid dress doesn't help haha!) and I'm just starting to get my head around the fact I won't be super skinny.

However I've seen people post on here that they hated their pictures at first but loved them after a bit of time passed. I'm expecting to hate mine. I think I look ok if I have time to pose and can see a few variations of a picture. But the candid shots always freak me out. Who knew I had so many chins!

But this is what I look like. I'm heavier than I used to be because I stopped drinking and partying and grew up. Exercise and me have always had a love hate relationship but I'm getting better. I've got gigantic boobs so even when I lose weight it's hard to tell. But this is the body I have. It's the body my OH fell in love with. I might not look like a model but I'm learning to be ok with that.

This bring out my inner crazy feminist. The media (and the wedding industry) show women's bodies as this skinny wee rake that very few people can achieve. And it's ridiculous. You are beautiful. And you're going to look beautiful on your wedding day. You're going to be wearing a gorgeous dress that fits you perfectly. You're going to have your hair and make up done professionally to bring out your best look. And you're going to be glowing with happiness.

You hate your pictures. That's fine. You won't hate them in a few days. For now, either don't look at them or focus on something else in them. Look at how your OH looks at you. Look at how happy you look. Who cares if you're not super skinny. You're perfect just the way you are.

You know what DCT, i would say the same thing to someone else to - and thank you for saying it to me! What's kind of odd is if i look in the mirror i don't totally hate myself - but i just seem to photograph really, really badly. Either that or i'm completely deluded about how i actually look. Well its kill or cure next week - i won a boudoir shoot in a competition and it's next friday!
