    Hello,

My name is Vera and I work for a TV company called Little Gem (www.littlegem.tv) We are a producing a brand new and exciting TV series all about wedding planning! We are interested in speaking to LGBT engaged couples getting married between April and August this year, who may need a helping hand with the logistics of planning. Maybe they’ve had a lastminute nightmare cancellation, maybe they have no idea what to do for decoration or themes, it could be anything and everything!

We have enlisted the help of a world class wedding planner; Sarah Haywood to give them some expert advice with any of their needs, and make sure their special day comes together exactly how they imagined.

We would really appreciate it if you could circulate the attached flyer and post on your social media pages. Also, if you know of anyone who might be interested in taking part please as them to apply. Our applications email address is ********@*********.**

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

    Best Wishes,

    Vera

    Hello 2019 brides!

I’m a bit late to the party as got engaged back in April 2017, just stumbled across this board Smiley smile

I’m getting married in September in Pratis Barn in Fife, feeling fairly organised although I have the fear that all the little things will overwhelm me at the last minute! Currently on bridesmaid dresses!

    How’s everyone’s plans coming along?

Hi MrsTurner from another September Bride!

I've mainly got little bits to do now - it's a DIY wedding, so making decorations and such. I've got bridesmaid outfits more or less sorted, but still need to get flower girl dresses! I'm also making flower crowns for my ladies!

I've just Googled your venue, it looks amazing!!

I've got a garden wedding going on - ceremony on a gazebo and reception in the marquee at Gants Mill in Bruton. Can't believe we're under the 6 month mark now!

Hope your planning (and everyone elses!) is going well!

Congrats to those spring brides who have already tied the knot, I hope you had wonderful days!

    X

    Hello,

Sorry for the random message. My name is Vera and I work for a TV company called Little Gem (www.littlegem.tv) We are a producing a brand new and exciting TV series for UKTV. We are keen to speak to couples getting married between May and September this year, who may need a helping hand with planning their wedding. Maybe they’ve had a last-minute nightmare cancellation, or they have no idea what to do for decoration or themes, it could be anything and everything!

We are looking for brides and grooms who have a strong opinion and know exactly how they want their wedding to be, but it just doesn’t seem to be going their way. We have enlisted the help of world class wedding planner Sarah Haywood to give them some expert advice with any of their needs, and make sure their special day comes together exactly how they imagined.

At the moment we are just reaching out to potential brides who fall within our date, to inquire as to whether they may be interested in hearing more about the show.

You can apply by emailing our applications email address at ********@*********.**.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

    Hello 2019 Brides!

I got engaged in May 2017 but we have only just started planning our wedding (we wanted to buy our house first).

Looks like we're setting the date for 26th August this year! Am I crazy?

I'm going to be busy for the next 119 days!

Getting married June 1st and my dress still hasn’t arrived. The shop apparently are chasing it but now I’m panicking. Everything else more or less done though it’s now just sorting odds and ends.

We've got 14 days to go! Although only 9 days to be ready, as we fly out to Italy 5 days before the wedding. Should be going for the final fitting of my dress very soon, I had the second fitting last Friday, dress needed taking up at the front, and I'm having straps added. When I saw it on Friday, the straps were raw fabric and the hem had been cut but not stitched, so I'm having to trust the shop that it will be ready in time for me to collect it a week on Thursday, although they said they want me to try it again before collection day, so that should be soon. Having my hair highlighted this coming Saturday, and I'm booked to have my nails done late on Thursday evening next week. I have my jewellery sorted, just need to make a sparkly hair comb or clip. Starting to feel really excited now!

Did anyone else have a bit of a wobble during their planning?

Not about their partner (HtB and I have been together for 10 years, so I'm definitely sure about that bit ?), but we've reached a point where we're getting down to all the details (final guest list, flowers, decorations, etc), and part of me is thinking that it's too much stress/expense, and we should have just buggered off to a register office.

I know that really, I do want a wedding (as well as a marriage), but discussion about who needs a button hole are making me want to poke my eyes out with sharp sticks...

I would be demanding my money back from the shop now. I know it sucks, but get your money back and go to Wed2B, I've heard awesome things about them, and I bet you can find something similar to what you wanted for a fraction of the price, then you can walk out with it and get any alterations you need done.

    Good luck sweet! X

Oh my god yes - like every other day!! I just keep telling myself it will be worth it on the day. Plus it would be too expensive to cancel now ?

Keep at it girl - how long until your big day? X

Glad it's not just me ?

We're getting married at the end of October, so 5.5 months to go. Doing all the decorations/flowers/invites ourselves, and have just started on flowers, which has made me realise just how much there is to do. Although I did find a reduced table plan hoop thing in Sainsbury's yesterday, so that's one thing down!

Went back to the shop today and whilst it’s not the dress I wanted I now have a dress I love. This dress is a new one and wasn’t in the shop when I went in first time. They are confident they can get the alterations done in time and by way of an apology a veil thrown in and no more money to pay for the dress or alterations.

I’ve got 10 weeks to go and having a dress wobble at the moment. I looked at some pictures yesterday but then looked at a dress I tried on right before and I’m worried I should have gone with the other dress. I have my first fitting on Friday so I hope that will get rid of an doubts I have. Other than that it’s going swimmingly - doing all the paperwork for registrar and final venue planning meeting on Friday. Anyone else having wobbles?

Ahh, I think it's normal to have a bit of a wobble. I tried on a few dresses before I found mine, and I keep seeing people looking gorgeous in similar dresses to the ones I rejected and I wonder if I made the right choice. But when I try mine on, I remember how much I love it - whenever I put it on, I never want to take it off! Top tip - delete all photos of you in other dresses!

Sounds like you're pretty on top of everything Smiley smile

I had a BIG wobble on Friday night - had a really stressful week at work last week and drowned my sorrows in a bottle of wine, then started doubting all of my decisions!

I'm trying to reduce my use of social media between now and the wedding (13 weeks). I'm on some Facebook groups for DIY and 2019 brides, and whilst some of it is helpful, so much makes me think 'ooh I wish I'd done that...' and you start comparing your wedding to other people's and that's never a good thing!

Hope you're venue meeting goes well on Friday! X

So how is everyone's plans going?!

I've stepped up my DIY a load now - every evening is about making something new!

Just over 3 weeks to go, and I'm getting excited and nervous all in one go! X

I've got a week - well 8 days to go. Next Friday. Yikes! I swore I wouldn't do any DIY stuff but I couldn't get these little wire menu holders I was after coz the seller on Etsy couldn't be bothered to reply to me so I copied her design and made them myself. I'm also using pegs as my name places so I'm spending tonight and tomorrow night writing them out. Everything will be going to the venue Monday and I'll be collecting my dress on Weds at the same time as being there for my bridesmaid to shop for her dress. Exciting Weds for us! Oh and I had to have my table plan reprinted this week after another bridesmaid dropped out over the weekend - oh the drama! So now my brain feels like it's going to explode and I don't have the ability to make anymore decisions. Getting excited though. Lets see how 18 months of planning turns out!

    Eeeep, how exciting!!

Haha, most of my DIY has been a copy of other things haha! The problem is, I keep thinking of more things that I could do, but with 3 weeks to go, this may be a bad idea!

Have an amazing week, I hope everything goes well for you! X

5 days to go for me! Still have the following things to do:

    Finish BM gift bags

Finish mum and stepmum gift bags

Write out all 97 place names

    Confetti into organza bags

    Sweets into jars

    Brownies to bake

Luckily I have one of my Bridesmaids coming to stay with me this evening until after the wedding, so her and H2B will be roped into the confetti and sweets, whilst I sort the other bits out!

Also getting my nails done on Thursday, and need to drop the furbabies to the kennels/cattery.

Regretting cancelling my Wednesday day off now!

Good luck to everyone else getting hitched this week - I know there's a few other 14th brides out there, weather is looking good for us! X

Hello! It seems you have a lot to do! But don't worry, you'll do it and your wedding will be great! Don't forget to sleep and eat well before The Day as the main star of the event is the bride and the groom Smiley smile Good luck and enjoy!
