2021 Hair & Make Up Prices

That price for makeup sounds reasonable. Possibly slightly high end, but definitely within keeping with quotes I received. I found some cheaper, but didn’t like any of the photos on their websites, which were all contoured and highlighted to within an inch of their lives - with the tips of their noses looking like a lighthouse! I wanted a more natural look and, in my experience, anyone capable of delivering that charged more. I’d rather pay that bit more so that I don’t end up looking like an extra from TOWIE!


I was getting MUCH higher quotes for hair, but then discovered that the lady who currently does my hair (working from home) also does bridal hair. I like her work so have opted to use her. Maybe try and find out if there’s someone similar in your area. I’m sure there will be.

Bridal hair and make up is expensive. Your quote for you plus 4 others seems good. A lot of bridal hair and makeup artists I have been looking at are like £250 each and additional people are like £60 and up. It all boils down to who's work you love the most who can make u feel amazing on your day and if u can afford it. Dont feel obligated to pay for everyone if u can't afford it.

Thanks so much Melissa and you're so right about the natural look costing more. I was recommended a couple of MUA from friends but their portfolios had lots of really heavy eye make up and that's just not me.

Appreciate your help and advice on the pricing, if that price is in the ballpark that others have quoted then I'll go with this girl as her work looks really good.

Thanks for your advice on this. The quote is just for make up and not hair but hopefully it is within the normal range quoted for bridal make up

I’m paying £60 for my hair and £60 for my makeup (same lady doing both though)

I didn't wear makeup but had quotes for hair for £90-£120 for the bride (including trial) and £20-£40 for bridesmaids etc. But my regular hairdresser did it for me much cheaper.

Hi I was quoted for make up, £95 for bride and £65 for anyone else, trials are extra at £55 each


Hair I’ve been quoted £265 for me and three bridesmaids

Forgot to add I have asked my bridesmaid if they would like their make up done to pay for it themselves but by no means do they have to have it done and if they choose to they can of course pick what they’d like. I’ll be paying for hair and everything else
