Good advice from TD... Went to a fancy dress night in flash dance attire - wore lots of brightly coloured things and got my leg warmers for about £3 off the bay of E. Got my accessories from Claire's and crimped my hair and had orange blusher on.

I looked hideous - I couldn't pull that look off very well. Just looked like a badly stuffed neon sausage.

Ooo i had an 80s party once and found in a charity shop a rather hideous cocktail dress. I made a floppy bow for the back, some puffed sleeves, tights with a seam and a bow, stilletos and lots of jewellery. Hellish make up - BLUE MASCARA! - and voila, looked a right state, hehehehe....

i loved the 80s......

ALso BLUE eye-shadow, BIG BIG BIG hair...try and make it look like a mullet style! Back-combing! Get the neon leg warmers and ski pants!!

I may have to have a look round the charity shops, I'm sure I could find something! That outfit sounds fab, Teehee. Thanks for the suggestions, ladies. Will have to invest in lots of garish make up I think, that's a definite!

Ahh well the party was in 1997, prior to the digital camera take off so the originals are stuck in albums which are still packed in boxes in our ice house (stone shed) so no pictures i'm afraid....

it was a ruched bodice with a puffball like skirt....... prolly wont look out of place in todays fashions lolololol...
