A5 Wedding Invites?

14 November, 2012 at 10:15 Posted on Planning 0 9

Whats your thoughts on them?

I said to my parents that we were planning an A5 invite and they pulled a face, not sure if its just old fashioned or not...

I thought A5 invites were quite common now?

    Flow - A6!

    Ours were 12 x 12, I think. A5 is approx. 15 x 10.5?

Ours were standard postcard size. I would say that A5 is a bit too large.

What size are those that you flashed? There's no way to tell from the picture?

    Our invitation "pack" contained:

    One invitation (11.5 x 11.5)

    One info card (11.5 x 11.5)

    One RSVP card (10 x 10)

One envelope for RSVP card (10.5 x 10.5)

    All packed into a 12 x 12 envelope.

(Our RSVP cards had to be smaller because it was like Russian dolls, fitting that into the return envelope, then that into the outside envelope).

We (I) made our invitations. I have never liked pocket-fold style invitations. Worth noting that "postcard" size is not A6.

You don't need that big a piece of card for an RSVP, I shouldn't think - we just set up an email address for ours which has worked. The last few wedding invitations I've received, the RSVP card has been quite small or there isn't one at all - just the postal address and/or an email address. It doesn't matter what the 'norm' is as everyone's taste is different, it's obviously up to you. If you're not bothered about the size then go with what you're happy with.
