Aaaargh... hairy legs!! Which razor is best?

Jools73, 26 July, 2008 at 14:00 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

Went to the park this morning with team Thomas, saw all these other mum's with their lovely clean shaven legs, and there's me with legs that look like a freshly plucked chicken! I have pores on my legs as big as eye sockets! I'm fed up! As soon as I shave my legs the hair seems to be growing again!!(OK a wee bit of exgeration there) Waxing is a waste of time as the hair snaps and starts growing back within a week or so.

I use the intuition razor the one with the built in shave cream stuff. But it dowsn't seem to be as good as it used to be. Which razor do you use? Any good?

Do you shave every day? I always use a Gillette Venus jobbie, and hair conditioner, which does the job for me

I have the same problem. My hair is very dark and it shows up fast when i shave.

I've changed to using hair removal cream because i kept getting razor burn for some odd reason i couldn't suss out and i'm sticking with that.

Not only does it leave legs smooth for longer but i don't have ugly dotty legs.

Tried this too, not much difference maybe a few more hours before the hair comes through. An dit doesn't make any difference to my "dotty legs".!!

    Oh dear.

I saw that Boots have an offer on razors this afternoon whilst out shopping.

I am stupidly hairy, but I find the Gilette Venus used with sensitive skin shaving gel and a good moisturiser afterwards to be a good option.

I'll give the venus a go, I usually put conditioner on my legs when shaving them, but have bought some of the Johnsons shower and shave.

I find that using baby oil and shaving with the direction of the hair growth, not against it, reduces the dotty effect.

Gilette Venus for me and I shave every other day. My hair grows stupidly fast though so I sympathise. Oh and use shave gel, conditioner tends to blunt the blade for me and try and shave in really hot water as I find that helps. Also be sure to put on a good moisturiser afterwards.
