adding crystals to shoes?

Ooo ooo ooo they are mine I think. Glad you like them I love them and have just had my dress taken up a tad more than normal so that as I walk people just get a glimpse of something glittering as I refuse to do all that and then have no one see them!

All i did was use a couple of tubes of super glue and normal crystals I used diamantecrafts on e bay. Once I got the hang of it I speed through them and got them finished much quicker than I thought. However I would recommend having a go on another pair of shoes first of all to find out how you want to do it (picking up a crystal dipping it in a small pool of glue and then sticking it on or putting a small patch of glue on the shoe and then sticking crystals on) as I had to but a second pair of shoes as I didnt like my first attempt. Good luck and remember to flash when you have finished!!

I've done my shoes with a Hotfix wand and crystals, you plug the wand in, it heats up, pick up the crystal, glue on the back melts, stick it on! Dead easy, and the wands are only about £16 off ebay

I came across a tutorial on youtube. I think if you type in lovetocrystal in the search box, you'll find a couple of tutorials on different kinds of projects and shoes is one of them.

I really wanted to do this, but I really wanted to use Swarovski crystals as I thought they'd be more sparkly than the normal ones you can get on ebay, but they are tons more expensive. For the ladies who have done this, are the ebay crystals ok?

I got some off Ebay and they are lovely and just as sparkly !!

I only want to add crystals to the heels. Does anyone have a rough idea how many I would need? 100? 200?

The heel is quite wide and I used more than i thought. It will also depend on how big your crystals are 2mm or 3mm I went for 2mm (I think). Personally I would get a big bag (1440) and see how you get on. They arent that expensive and is really annoying if you run out without finishing. Good luck and remember to flash.
