Adding straps to dresses.

I really like these dresses for my BM’s but they both wanted dresses with straps which I’m struggling to find does anyone have any experience of adding straps to dresses either from matching ribbon or extra material... does it look and odd and as though they were added or can it work?

If they are added well, they can look great.

I've added lace cap sleeves to my (previously straples) wedding dress and it looks fantastic.

I would say go for the exact same material, or and complete contrast:

Just ideas, but just to show completely different material can work for straps.

And get a good dress maker to do it!
