Advice on where to hold wedding

Hello everyone,
My fiance and I are really struggling with where to hold our wedding. He is originally from Cheshire and I'm from Bedfordshire, we currently live in Cambridgeshire. We've been looking at venues in both areas but are struggling to come to a decision. Our main factors for having our wedding closer to home is that it's easier to go back and forth to the venue when needed and our biggest thing for having one in Cheshire is that his Nanna may not be able to travel down to us due to age and mobility and we really want her to be a part of our day.
Does anyone have any advice or been in a similar situation? TIACaroline

    If I were you I'd go for Cheshire. It'll be a hassle going to and from the venue when needed but it will only be a couple of times and I think it's more likely that his Nanna will get worse rather than better (sorry, that may be a bit blunt) and so as you don't express a love for any particular venue I would go for the option that makes it most likely she would be able to attend.

    I agree with Stephanie. Having your wedding in Cheshire would mean his Nanna would be able to attend and I’m sure the other guests wouldn’t mind travelling that bit further if it meant that she could go.

    I’d do it in Cheshire as well. I’m kinda in the same situation except my gran is in Jamaica 🙃

    Thank you all for your advice. We've decided to plan for Cheshire and have booked to see a venue (think I'm in love with it already) but if our rough dates aren't available, we'll also see some venues closer to home. We've told my mum the plan and she doesn't seem very happy but I'm hoping she'll change her mind as time goes on and if she can see the venue.
