Alcohol licence

We've hired a village hall for our reception and we're unsure whether we need a licence to serve our own alcohol. Does anyone have any experience with this? We can only find information online if we're selling it.

You need to ask the parish council you are hiring from if they have one, most of them do so I would ask them for a copy or what you need to do if they don't have one

As the previous commenter has suggested, check with the parish council. My understanding is that you only need an alcohol license for selling alcohol, so if you’re not selling it you don’t need a license.
