We did 'The Flowers of Crystal' at primary schoo. Can't remember much about though tbh.

Having done a bit more research. it was actually called Blast Off, Mr Jones goes to Jupiter. The other song I clearly remember was 'Oh, Oh, I don't know, I'm an unidentifiable U F O!'. That was definitely in blast off... Which makes me think that's the musical we're looking for. It was published in about 1986 so the timeframe is right...

All I can think of is the Bumblesnouts. Was the play about the enviroment?

Anyone remember one called Fuddlejig? No-one seems to remember it apart from me.

Our KS2 has just done a performance called First Kids in Space (by Debbie Campbell) and the songs were brilliant. We had a space topic that term too. It's still available if you Google.

We did that play!! Called Blast Off and I remember we all had bottles of tomato sauce for one of the songs!!
