Alternative to a ring bearer?

ExpensiveOrangeStationery860, 26 November, 2017 at 15:14 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any ideas of alternatives to having a ring bearer? I'm getting married in April to a Chilean, and in his culture they don't do attendants at weddings, so although I'm having two bridesmaids, there will be no best man or groomsmen. Neither of us is really keen on the traditional little boy as ring bearer idea, and anyway there's no possible candidates in our families. So we're looking for fun and creative ways of producing th rings on the day, but coming up blank.

Ps I did strongly consider my cat, but decided it wouldn't be fair to her to pack her into a kitty carrier (which she HATES) for the day just for a ten minute appearance at the ceremony. I don't have a dog. So coming up blank with ring bearer ideas! Thanks.

Lots of people don't have a ring bearer at all. It's a role that's only used when necessary, for example when there's a young male relative who needs a role because his sister is a bridesmaid.

For many couples the best man has the rings in his pocket. That's the English tradition.

    An owl could be amazing.....however...

We played a wedding at Warwick castle where the couple had an owl bearer.

On the day the owl didn't feel up to it and hissed & screeched down the aisle...Thankfully the couple found it all quite funny.
