Alternative to flowers

Louise, 9 August, 2025 at 22:50 Posted on Planning 2 37
Hi,

Is anyone considering having really minimal flowers/no flowers at all? If so, what are you using for walking down the aisle, button holes, and decoration instead?

Succulents, cacti, Sprunki or low-maintenance houseplants like pothos or snake plants last longer than cut flowers and add greenery to spaces.

I think Candles, lanterns, potted plants, books, or fruit displays can be beautiful alternatives to flowers at a wedding. @ https://minecrftgeek.com/ for more any question contact me.

I’m also thinking of keeping flowers minimal. Using vintage brooches or family heirlooms for the aisle sounds like a lovely idea. Small candy arrangements for the tables could be nice too. By the way, you could try playing basketball legends to relieve wedding stress, this game always makes me feel good. Fast matches and developing strategies help me clear my mind. Even a short break gives me energy and boosts my motivation during preparations. Definitely worth trying!

That’s such an interesting idea, Louise! I’ve seen couples use candles, greenery, or even fabric drapes instead of flowers, and it looked stunning. If you’re also into practical planning details, tools like a property records search can be surprisingly helpful when organizing venue choices or evaluating spaces. Minimalist décor can feel very elegant while keeping everything simple and personal

You could also consider looking into practical long-term options that add value beyond the moment. For example, when people are exploring property insights, they sometimes check Brevard home values to better understand community growth and investment potential. Just like choosing alternatives to flowers, this kind of choice reflects lasting thoughtfulness and planning. It’s all about finding meaningful options that carry significance over time.

That’s such a thoughtful idea! Alternatives to flowers can often carry more lasting value and make the gesture even more meaningful. If someone is exploring home-related options, checking reliable details about Jackson County Assessments can be a smart step to understand property values and future investments. It’s always nice to consider unique choices that bring both beauty and practicality.

Hiya! I've been looking at growing my own veg bocquet!!! Marrying a big gardener so wanted to do something meaningful and something we can actually use after. Thinking of making a wedding pie with it after! Kind of thinking something like below, but depends on whether they come out big enough or not (fingers crossed). Wedding is not until December, but planted my vegetable seeds last week to let them grow in time.

All of my flowers for bouquet and table are flowers I have grown this year on my allotment and dried. Far cheaper and more environmentally friendly than using flowers which aren't in season or buying cheap plastic ones. Also, they will last forever if I look after them!

Hi, I know this might not be ideal for everyone but as of now i'm going to have someone on the morning of the wedding grab a bunch of flowers from the local supermarket and arrange them myself. I have a ribbon that I will use to keep them together. After wedding I will have a friend dry them out then create something for me to display at home.

For the aisle, use lanterns with LED candles lining the path. Buttonholes are fabric pins can easily DIY'd from old brooches. Decor: potted succulents and fairy lights everywhere. What vibe are you aiming for?

Great idea to skip flowers! For walking down the aisle, I used a simple lantern with a candle. Button holes could be made from herbs like rosemary. For decorations , try greenery or paper flowers—it saves money and looks unique!

That’s such an interesting idea! I’ve seen a few weddings where couples skipped flowers entirely and used creative DIY touches instead things like candles, draped fabric, greenery, or even painted wooden pieces for decoration. It gives a very modern, home-inspired vibe without the cost of floral arrangements. If you enjoy creative projects like that, you might also love checking out some home improvement blogs that accept guest post , since they often share great DIY décor ideas that can easily fit into wedding setups too.
